25/1/2006 19:11 | thanks shrewdmole | sos100
25/1/2006 19:09 | sos, investment companies very rarely trade at nav. there is always a discount so itys debatable whether sve is the best route for exposure here. only my take but i see the move to aim opening up more pi's to this stock and as it should be with the acquisition at the same time i would expect in the next 4 weeks that pre move we could see 18-19p but after float when p1/p2 reserves are known maybe a cap of £35-40m would not be out of place. look at chp and others. certainly still a very low cap. big draw for me is the guys on board, they arent here for a small operation!! given time they must be expecting a pretty big operation. sm | shrewdmole
25/1/2006 18:57 | Hi guys ,bought cde today, any views on where share price could go this year ,since sve own 50% of this would it have been better to buy sve?.... any views on the share price impact when this goes to AIM would be appreciated. | sos100
25/1/2006 18:34 | yes there will be a placing with the move to aim. ask yourself a few questions, why does an ex minister and professor of geology become a director along with 2 of texacos ex top men on board , it isnt to buy a field with upto 50m barrels. i expect this will give them cashflow and enable minimal dilution as they build an asset base. very much like vog with kemerkol, this will bankroll the west med drilling and iec have bought licenses to acquire reserves that i gfeel could be north of 500m barrels by year end. sm | shrewdmole

25/1/2006 15:11 | You should all be aware that Starvest (SVE) own about 50% of CDE. I think CDE market cap now exceeds that of SVE which has a whole bunch of other investments (some performaing well)and is trading at a very big discount to NAV. Bruce Rowan will be trying to sort this out. So if you have difficulty buying CDE stock you could try SVE. English Bigblls - the reason is that CDE will be purchasing producing assets worth many times current market cap. They will obviously need cash, but the upside from here is still many multiples. Zengas seems to have done his homework if you trust his judgement more than mine which is probably wise. | wassapper
25/1/2006 15:07 | Thought about buying into these yesterday...doh Just bought in now but had to sell som AEX to get the capital. Hope it was the right decision. | deeker

One of the first topslices I have done - but thought I should take some profit, as oftne just let it slip away. TonyS - KMR - I'm sitting on a very nice number at the mo - just sold a few this am and bought back in my ISA. Will have a look at coil. Must dash back to the Street. Bert | bert23

25/1/2006 13:55 | What is that reason wassapper? | english bigblls
25/1/2006 13:53 | There is every reason to continue buying CDE even at this level. | wassapper
25/1/2006 13:39 | tonys 12 months and vog could have disappeared over the price yonder. im happy with my oily lot now, got eme, tag, cde, uen and vog. will hold all of them for between 2-5 years. | habayyut
25/1/2006 13:37 | not to worry jane you car'nt be everywhere, when the vog party gonna happen, 12 months time would be good. tonys | tsmith9426
25/1/2006 13:35 | Thanks jonny. The interview was the only place where they have said they are moving to AIM and they gave a timescale too. I expect they'll announce a placing in conjunction with this to complete the acquisition (assuming DD and CPR are favourable), so the higher the share price is by then, the lower the dilution will be! | sranmal
25/1/2006 13:32 | tone i was about to buy them at 37p, but hashbrown buying put me off. aarrggghhh!!! | habayyut
25/1/2006 13:30 | Think it was pulled because he said they were moving to aim in march, same time as they'll complete aquisition of Pechora energy.Thought he would have to announce this news to the market first. | johnyee7 |
