blundered across this reading Spreadex history. a tidbit for holders.

Due to an ever-expanding customer base, in September of 2013 Spreadex penned a £1.2m private cloud deal with Computacenter to improve the stablitity and security of its trading platforms.

Bonkers downgrade by UBS target 2030, clearly trying to get their clients in cheaper. Added a few more on the drop.

Pivot, they'll turn it around, done many in the past.

Think they have quite a lot of sorting out to do at Pivot. At first glance they have a lot of revenue but seem to struggle to reliably generate a profit from it let alone a growing profit.

Presumably Pivot will have to learn to operate a lot more efficiently.

One of the first companys to give clear earnings guidance when they say ' adjusted profit before tax for the year unlikely to be less than 180M.
Thats some statement of intent

And yet nobody is interested.

To be fair, the valuation is becoming a little bit higher than the former grudging 7 or 8 multiple, but it is still, in a low interest rate environment, just valued as a utility services provider.

Sudden weakness for computer stocks - but why? Softcat, Kainos, and CCC down 6% to 8%. Aveva, Avast and Sage down about 3%.
However I am happy to hold CCC as we already know interims next week will be good and the statement this week forecast a strong 2nd half. And CCC p/e ratio looks quite sensible compared with most of the others.
All IMHO. Do your own thing as always. BB

Aggregate dividend in pence for the past six years
19.8 21.4 22.2 26.1 30.3 37.0

Very crudely they seem to pay around 30% of net profit (or eps if you like) as a biannual dividend, split into the interims (one third) and finals (two thirds). I imagine there is a statement on their dividend policy somewhere but given the capital growth over the last three years or so this hadn't been much of a focus as it often isn't with 'growth' stocks. The smaller interim dividend has usually been announced at the end of August with the XD date around September 12/13th and payment in the second week of october. So the announcement should be very soon.
