17/3/2018 10:39 | as i said batton down the hatches, did not make sense to see a share price drop so much. | red5
16/3/2018 08:17 | No need to have stops for shares - for exactly that reason. | gargleblaster
15/3/2018 19:05 | I got done like an absolue kipper. Stopped out @ 1021.44 My shares will now be in the hands of the Directors who are already 10% to the good. | f15jcm
15/3/2018 18:47 | Bad luck those that were stopped out recently :( | mauricemonkey

13/3/2018 18:03 | No idea why this went down oh well I would have to sit tight. | red5
13/3/2018 12:33 | It must just be those wanting to sell on Final Results day. It looks like an absolute bargain to me in comparison to stocks likes softcat. Like someone said above, the small section mentioning 2018 will be tough was in the last update, so that should've been anticipated anyway. Also CCC are known for exceeding expectations so I'm thinking they may be being overly cautious to beat future forecasts. | iotasteem
13/3/2018 12:08 | Looks good value in my opinion. £1.17BN Market Cap Net Cash of £190M Profit of £106M. Dividend cover of 2.5 times & commitment in the future to dividend 2.0 - 2.5 cover so room to grow this. | jimmywilson612
13/3/2018 09:01 | Will recover..Good to hold or buy on div. EPS was only a slight miss | sandeep67
13/3/2018 08:58 | Wasn't that just for France? Like monions01, I'm at something of a loss. I've been stopped out, so in some ways it doesn't matter to me anymore. Frustrating as I've been watching Softcat go up nearly everyday. I was expecting Computacenter to make up some ground today, not drop 10%! | f15jcm
13/3/2018 08:20 | There is a small section mentioning 2018 will be tough. It was flagged in the last update though, so nothing new | mngf
13/3/2018 08:17 | Any one have an idea what I've missed in these results? I thought they looked OK, I certainly didn't expect a 8% sell off. | monions01
16/2/2018 17:48 | Iot - or to enable directors to reduce their holdings. The Director's RNS released after market close is interesting reading. www.investegate.co.u | monions01
14/2/2018 11:47 | 10% drop due? After those results? Don't think so | iotasteem
13/2/2018 13:18 | Time to short. 10% drop due. | deccer1
28/1/2018 11:39 | I feel like the only reason a firm would want a share buyback is if they believe the price of their stock will rise in the future. I also feel like the reason they said about the costs in 2018 holding back the probability in 2018, was mainly to prevent an increase in share price that would be over their original share buy back range (1170-1260). Thoughts anyone? | iotasteem
23/1/2018 15:22 | This is driving me mad. There is so much uncertainty. The price is unclear. The amount of shares (if I tender above "guaranteed minimum) is unclear. And of course what will the share price be doing on 9 Feb? I really just wish they had given us a special dividend. I read the RNS three times and still don't have a clue what to do! | maffs1
23/1/2018 10:11 | Through your broker. If it is an online broker the terms and form will be posted on their website, probably in a day or two. If you deal via the phone they may contact you directly or give them a call if you haven't heard say by the end of the week. As you will have seen instructions must be with Credit Suisse (via your broker) by February 9th. It looks like the tender offer will be done at a few percent above the current price. You don't have to accept, of course. | srichardson8
23/1/2018 08:04 | Sorry for the silly question, but how do we accept the tender offer for the shares? | iotasteem
22/1/2018 14:34 | Thanks, that was very helpful. | iotasteem
22/1/2018 14:17 | Quite right. Hansteen was a much bigger deal as they had sold all their European property portfolio and holders could offer half their holding at a small premium. CCC confirm today it is still only a £100mn tender, mkt cap is still $1400mn so I assume for every 100 shares owned they will offer to buy back 7 shares at a small premium to today's close. Let's see. | srichardson8
22/1/2018 12:15 | Never had a tender offer before. From what I understand the company buys some shares back from shareholders for a premium price, is that correct? Also any ideas ata ll what that price is likely to be? | iotasteem
18/1/2018 16:48 | V quiet here which I appreciate. There is a trading statement due for Monday the 22nd which I anticipate will be encouraging, especially as the Euro has been strong (Germany and France are both key business areas). The day after we will hear the intentions regarding the tender offer. For me this is a rather unusual way to pay shareholders for good trading and cash collection. Hansteen did it quite recently but I am still not sure if I have profited much by accepting a partial sale of my position albeit at a price which appeared good at the time. Market Cap is now £1.4bn so an £100mn tender would only represent 7% of shares outstanding. There was £140mn cash shown on the book at June 17 and very little debt.A tender does give an uplift to earnings per share but not to book value I think. Any views welcome as this little chapter evolves. | srichardson8 |
