Offer,

Spreading the risk, entering a more lucrative O&G regime and adding more production and reserves therefore SWP risk reduced to CERP as a whole. You can bet you're CERP on the fact that onshore old fields for $10s m come with 2P and likely production too. We're certianly not talking offshore blocks with large signing on fees, we're talking non-core for someone but core for CERP and Stuart and Leo's bread and butter get the most out of secondary recovery LK's waterflood (Cormorant field was a washing machine etc) and SA's SAGD experience.

Regards,
Ed.

Anything other than 'steady as she goes' will help some interest here. Something different to discuss as they are giving nothing away, though making a lot of indirect noises. Just hope there no more of the damp squib leading up to and beyond the AGM. The only saving grace is if the share price stays low, so does their salaries.

Offerman, can you remember where that nexus/magoo cut n paste was lifted from?....another interview?

Thanks Ed for the replyI really hope we can achieve a material deal before the end of 2018 and I agree it would be good to have that before we drill SWP alone just to really address the spreading the risk.

Morning Offer,

Could be rumours or could be reference to Icacos and Bonasse which await permits from the authorities in Q3 before they get to work there. I don't read the LSE so cannot say what they're referring too. LK may also get another of these shallow IPSC's too. But you never know the first material deal could come at any time. Its certainly been LK's strategy to look for assets in SA since he joined CERP so the negotiations could have been going on for some time. Shell for example (where LK spent many years) have been in Colombia for decades and their assets are close to the Vene border. Probably lots of old non-core stuff there that resemble Goudron and could do with a revamp by a modestly sized company. The last we heard of from the company was confident of a deal in 2018, they didn't say when in 2018 so you never know. That would be exciting.

Regards,
Ed.

offer, an update on M&A progress will be given at AGM, if not before.
That could be another statement of intent rather than a done deal.

ccr,

You hoping for the first acquisition that quickly? Well we don't know when LK and team started his negotiations in Colombia and Suriname, all we know is that they're ongoing. Also that they're confident of completing a deal in 2018, but that also relies upon the companies they're negotiating with to play ball too. I'm still hoping that they can sign one of these material deals off in 2018 as that'll do wonders for the share price and diversify the the asset portfolio here. If it comes before they drill the Herrera in T&T all the better.

Regards,
Ed.

My crystal ball is sending out a sell signal here, evidently 4.40p bid will go soon, yours mystic 12bn. The trouble here is Cerp is still losing money and nothing much new is expected until 2019!

You can obviously ask people to refrain from posting about other companies but surely comparing apples with apples is part of the game. I agree ramping other stocks is not what we want but I want to be comparing companies that are competing in similar regions/ conditions. I may think TXP is a better investment today than CERP but I may learn something on here through provoking that point of view. I am not invested in CERP at present but I was in the past and may be in the future.

The next few updates from CERP will be key as the management team have been there over a year now. I am sure most would be pleased to see a transformational acquisition. If the terms were right it would persuade me back in.

I have an idea .Can I ask let's just stick to CERP on this CERP thread for the benefit of everyone invested in CERP. Leave talk of TXP TRIN on those threads of that's ok . Let's just all focus on what we're invested in . Ross have a nice holiday in T&T :-/

Ross - when you say August are you sure it's not the 31st - we are keen to stamp out ambiguity on here!

In any event this is great news - a win - win for all - whatever the result on Wednesday!

Rosie - no one else saturates the boards with their other holdings like you do - difficult to know how much is you being anal or a ramp for your other shares - most people are so bored with it they probably don't pay much attention either way!
