Oil Rallies Towards $80

It was only a week ago that OPEC and Non-OPEC agreed to add 1 million barrels per day (mb/d) to the market, but it already feels like a distant memory with the oil bulls back on the march...

Brent rose more than 1 percent in early trading on Friday, and is not far off of $80 per barrel. This week saw prices gain about 10 percent compared to last week after a combination of fears of Iran production outages, disruptions in Libya and a bullish stock draw in the U.S. It was only a week ago that OPEC+ promised to add 1 million barrels per day (mb/d) to the market, but it already feels like a distant memory with the oil bulls back on the march...

Good to see a mood change here. I hope we see another couple of days of steady rise before the update. I'd prefer to see us break 5.25 and hold to be comfortable that the trend is broken however. GL all and have a great weekend.

Last couple of days great end to week, albeit rising from a price didn't think we'd see again. Good momentum approaching Q2 data helped by strong WTI tail wind.
Should keep a positive flow next week with, in all likelihood, update at start of the following week prior to AGM Friday. And who knows, a little extra announcement maybe?

Also I'll be honest if I didn't have my account locked when I saw buys going through at 4.22p I think I would have been tempted to invest much more than my recent combined 300,000 shares topup. So maybe a good thing I only started at 4.75 couple weeks ago then 4.5 then 4.6 kind of told me to keep some capital back and don't be bloody facts to put all in ....... I am content I have enough by my small standards compared to many it's all down to LK now to get momentum going . So come on Leo for me and everyone sakes fellow long term sufferers and newbies get a move on with SWP

Iran’s position in the oil market is looking weaker than ever as a bruising OPEC meeting and tightening net of U.S. sanctions leave it with fewer friends and fleeing customers.

Tehran is getting hit from all sides. Washington is telling buyers to stop all purchases of the country’s crude, while OPEC and its allies are bowing to U.S. pressure to raise output and fill the gap. Iran may be left with few options beyond convincing China to buy more of its oil, risking over-reliance on what’s already its biggest customer...

Hey Holly Yes I got lucky they put my hundred thousand through as a sell it was by so whether that guy who put it through had a few orders banked and had to clear them so they went through sales as the price was risingGood luck you too and I'm sure everyone here is gonna reap the rewards

Rossannan, I am a little surprised with your trading/investing. You said you will re-invest here once TXP comes good, but I'd have thought a better strategy would've been to manage risk and split your interest. You were suggesting 4.75 floor, followed by 4.5, it even gave you an opp below that for an entry. NAI, GL.
