24/4/2003 09:52 | I am not sure if I am alone in this but when I try and use the streaming charts it always ends in tears as my whole pc grinds to a halt. I am using windows XP - with the lE 6 and all the latest updates. When I look in the Windows task manager there is always an image name of Internet explorer with a rapidly increasing memory usage >100k. Once I close this all returns to normal. Am I alone in this and is there a fix. Also when using Intraday charts I try to add a second indicator say MACD or RSI and it does not show - again am I the only one who suffers this or am I doing sonething incredibly stupid. Both of these problems have been ongoing for months and I have finally had enough of them, any help, advise appreciated. | mrgaribaldi
24/1/2003 19:38 | I'm noe getting sick of this - trading DOW and at around 6.30pm the charts just disappear! What is going wrong advfn? Either sort of consistency of service or don't offer it! | teeps
22/1/2003 14:11 | If there is anyone from ADVFN out there I've been having alot of trouble with the US streaming charts - they don't come up, forever trying to connect. Tried the usual shift, alt refresh and nothing. Is there a problem with these charts? | teeps
07/10/2002 15:58 | Hi Adam LMI Lonmin PLC dropped 20 pts since i posted this AM I will have to get a bit more techy. If you let me have your Email address I can email you the chart if you wish (i use sharescope) | carrera
07/10/2002 14:12 | Hi Carrera, can you post the URL of the chart and setting you use, my charts are not log scale | adamh
07/10/2002 08:31 | Hi Adam Still looking for 1-2-3's have been daytrading and found a few intra-day ones (or close to being 1-2-3's) they do seem to be predictive of forthcoming saucer tops and i presume bottoms. Anyway, have a look at LMI, best one i have seen. My Settings are LOG SCALE, daily chart with first trend line starting at AUG '98 Stock is poised at 850 support witha a great chance of breaking What do you think Carrera | carrera
30/8/2002 11:30 | Sorry about the problem with RSI on the charts... fixed it earlier this morning. As for the lines, it's on my list of things to improve, so I'll be getting them working a bit more nicely i.e. you'll be able to select them and delete them that way and so on. | james s
29/8/2002 16:04 | James , I can't get even a bit of a chart now. all was well 2 days ago xp ie6 ntl broadband any ideas ?? | kitch
29/8/2002 13:58 | My charts are not working either. When I add any settings my chart disappears and I just get 1 study, eg RSI, MACD etc. Also on first impressions, I think I preferred the white charts because they seem to be clearer. | buccini
29/8/2002 13:13 | Tried the same as pooh. Can get 1 minute line chart (but cant afford to trade that one!!), still cant get 5 min candlestick with RSI (Added on edit) Am using a low res screen today - scrolling the chart up and down loses the part of the applet that was obscured during the scroll - a screen refresh/repaint problem. You can probably emulate by shrinking the size of your browser to a quarter screen and then scrolling. | gausie
29/8/2002 13:10 | ok, problem happens, because I had several options saved as default. I removed all options and start afresh, get a chart with no options and then set my options and resave them it is all working ok. | pooh
29/8/2002 13:08 | someones looking into it. T. | tomj
29/8/2002 13:03 | Just to let you know, they worked perfectly for me before the change of 'look' | pooh
29/8/2002 11:58 | Still a refresh problem within the applet when RSI is switched on. -- same config as pooh. | gausie
29/8/2002 11:56 | pooh, fine for me. Anyone else? T. | tomj
29/8/2002 10:07 | new charts not working for me. only get the moving average, and the chart hangs up. I have reinstalled the manifest completely, but made no difference. When chart forst displays I get all blank apart from about 1/4" of the chart at the bottom. I have to minimise & maximise the browser window to get the whole chart painted, but then it does not work. using win2k & ie6 | pooh
29/8/2002 09:53 | James, I like the new look. Seems clearer :-) Mike_C - are you clicking on the line you want to clear when you select clear lines? I agree that drawing the lines is tricky. Also, James, it would be useful, if possible, to be able to click or hover on a drawn line to see what its value is. | r.dryden
29/8/2002 09:40 | Hi James Chart working now. I did however prefer the white background. It seemed clearer. I am having a problem when drawing lines on the charts. The cross hair does not match the start of the line (It is drawing a few mm below) which is frustrating. Also the clear lines function doesn't seem to be working. Cheers | mike_c |
