I bought earlier this morning then by about 12 noon changed my mind. Buying is easy but trying to sell even under £700 worth was very difficult. Eventually I succeeded but why so hard to sell? It could of course have been my brokers AJ Bell but usually their service is great. My own guess is that a1m1investor may have a point.

Here you go, no hiding it anymore, starting to see the fall out from Covid-19 to the O&G industry. Seems like possibly one of the worst times in history to invest in the O&G sector.

Jason, it's worse than that, Selene has been deferred until at least 2022, it was in the AGM statement. Dewar farm out is not viable in the current conditions, the new licences applied for don;t have work commitments for 3 to 4 years, and the other pensacola licence only has a 16% chance of success so realistically that's not happening either... it's a disaster here for investors.

Cannacord have only 0.15% of the DELTIC capital left in their clients accounts.

The remaining shares are held in the two Malborough Unit Trust Funds.

So the overhang has just about cleared and may even have finished this morning.

The market's known about the applicaiton with another operator for the last year or so, when the applciation was made, it's nothing new. What is new, along with all the other delays is that we're now told that the new licences don;t have any work commitments for 3 to 4 years, Lol.

Selene 2 years away.
Pensacola only has 16% chance of success so either not go ahead or apply for an extension in current climate.
Dewar farm out not viable in current climate so that's off for years.
Now we find out the new O&G applications work commitments will be 3 to 4 years away.

This is not the time to be investing here, or in O&G in general imo. Look at the timeframes here. They are terrible. Selene was the shining beacon of hope here, with this postponed 2 years now there is nothing of any value due this year. The terrible news on Selene has not been priced in yet either imo so this will see a significant fall from here once the ramping is over.

Be very careful here.

So the award of licences that nothing will happen on for 3 or 4 years? Is that the ones I missed out?
