Interesting article about the oil majors in the FT, who are aware of a need to change their business model for the future for an ultimate reduction in fossil fuels. Out of 7 new projects for BP 6 are gas and one oil, this is an example of a trend for other majors, who see it as the cleaner of the fossil fuels at a time of increasing use of renewables.

I keep well away from any share unreal is in. I would suggest what he really means is he's shuffling along the Embankment clutching his can of Fosters. How the other half live....

I think we can assume they are filling a large order hence the spread, they don't want this running away without them, so corrupt it's untrue!

Unless we understand just how market makers and the market works we are just guessing at trades. My take ,only guessing of course is someone has been picking these shares up over the last few months and the market makers will be placating that client.Algy knows if there is a deal in the offing and he has hinted at such in his interviews and in rns,s.

Good morning
The seller of that 250k shareholding at 2.76p a share just now must either be desperate or know something which mere mortal PIs like yours truly do not.
Or is shorting a possibility? The latter seems pointless to me but who knows?

Hi ANLEYThank you, as far as marking trades , I used to be concerned about this and even signed a related petition some time ago. I now feel that its not such a good idea because if some market makers want to sell below the mid price thereby causing a buy to show as a sell, as long as we can make an educated guess as to whats happened, we can ultimately benefit. DMA(Direct Market Access) Market Makers, who are individuals like you and me, probably have more ability to be flexible in their pricing than the big boys. Cant be absolutely sure about all this but I think we get more pricing flexibility. Ultimately as it says in the book 'The Naked Trader' the computer is guessing, assessing the trade based on the mid price.

Yep Ineos are now the largest privately owned company in the Nort Sea, surely we meet the criteria they are looking for, cheap Gas assets, wouldn't be at all surprised to see an offer to buy the whole company!
