Tipped in the Evening Standard tips of the year, albeit by Algy's mate Anthony Hilton:

"Algy Cluff made his name as one of the most successful pioneers of North Sea exploration back in the 1970s. He thinks there is still a lot of gas waiting to be discovered that would be profitable to extract using modern drilling techniques.

His company, Cluff Natural Resources, has put together some promising acreage at rock-bottom prices in the southern North Sea but he needs a big, rich partner to bear the financial cost of exploiting what may be out there. If he finds one the shares could do well. If he fails, then they won’t.

anley- the sum invested is a relatively small allocation of my overall portfolio so i'm not sweating, nothing terminal if it busts but in Algy I believe!

And my FFwd shares up 19% today, a good day thus far..........

No need for praying the way this is going. Even 50k buys ticking this up. Must be short of stock and I feel something is close. Reaching next resistance level though.

I've got 2.7m and you're in profit LA and i'm at a paper loss at this point having first purchased at IPO way back, and having averaged down more recently - will patience be rewarded ......

LOL soulsause - did think a lot about CLNR for the 100% but thought that it was already taken plus was more than happy with my actual recommendation namely UOG
