04/12/2020 14:45 | 2.26m traded @ 222.25p | skyship
04/12/2020 10:39 | You've got a Brexit deal perhaps announced next week. Last minute brinkmanship, politicking and political theater over the weekend. That's just noise, hopefully. | essentialinvestor
04/12/2020 09:16 | Surprised reits strong today, expected slight ease as we more in hands of ox/astra release and late eu demands. But maybe latter means the ink pens are being filled | hindsight
04/12/2020 08:28 | It was due a move, nice. | essentialinvestor
03/12/2020 17:59 | MCKS tends to move in fits and starts - in either direction. Approval of a revised planning application for a Woking resi development would provide additional funds. McKay agreed a sale conditional on securing planning. Also to be fair to MCKS, the speculative Theale logistics development now let on a 10 year term to Amazon - and the Lombard Street refurb, let and subsequent sale, were examples of successful asset management. About all I can add. | essentialinvestor
03/12/2020 17:57 | Thank you EI and Skyship for the replies on MCKS, noted and will dig a bit myself Cant say I mind 3% yield if on other side it means property quality is maintained and a low LTV. We get about 3% on BTL if we are honest about own time and costs. Hopefully those 3% are index linked to some degree | hindsight
03/12/2020 17:37 | hs - re MCKS, I tend to agree. I'm attracted by the office sector and by the 37.4% discount @ 196p - now just about the highest in the respectable secondary regional players (I always leave PCA & RLE out of the equation!). However the big concern is their persistent paltry dividend payouts. Last year a Covid reduced 7.2p for a 3.67% yield; but even if they return to the recent 10.2p level the yield is hardly grand at just 5.2%. Still; one can snipe a turn sometimes as with limited marketability they can suddenly move 5% to your advantage... | skyship
03/12/2020 17:29 | MCKS?, I would not get that excited either!. It's a small position at an average of £1.96. Tend not to be exuberant about much I hold these days, ABF a few weeks ago was an exception as really thought ABF near £16 was an absolute gift, and so it proved to be. | essentialinvestor
03/12/2020 17:04 | EI, afriad I cant get excited on MCKS. Long term gone no where. What am I missing ? thanks | hindsight
03/12/2020 16:56 | Perspective. Some shares have risen a lot recently but then you look at where they were at the beginning of the year and they are still down 25%. | brwo349
03/12/2020 15:23 | Both CLS and MCKS have experienced modest re-ratimgs to this point. | essentialinvestor
03/12/2020 14:50 | Aye ...it's just a nibble I am majorly invested low risk wise ...but we've seen even that can take a hit | badtime
03/12/2020 14:34 | Think you need to be a little careful in markets atm with some extraordinary % ratings over just a few weeks. | essentialinvestor
03/12/2020 13:51 | Taken a nibble | badtime
03/12/2020 13:41 | May be too much all or nothing thinking around WFH. Sure some jobs may go entirely home based, others may spend a ٪ of time working from home. New Office supply will be constrained in this environment and exiting supply, particularly outside of London, is now aging. By no means an expert in this area, so just some thoughts. | essentialinvestor
03/12/2020 12:17 | Added few too, on gut feel of deal and not convinced this WFH is as good as its made out to be now time is ticking on | hindsight
03/12/2020 09:05 | Added a few. Hopefully at lesst a 5% jump on a confirmed Brexit deal. | essentialinvestor
03/12/2020 07:31 | hs - yes, have a CFD a/c for trading; but bought in my SIPP. Also HMG is in need of a little cash; so just doing my bit! | skyship
02/12/2020 18:58 | Time for cfds then skyship, as long as not staying around for too long due to financing costs. Saying that Im not against paying a bit into govcernment coffers at present as they are ineffect propping asset values up | hindsight
01/12/2020 08:51 | Come on my beauty. Sold some. | essentialinvestor
29/11/2020 13:49 | Under £1.90 on a no deal, above 2.20 on a deal, with a possibility the recent upper trading range broken through. Under 1.90 unlikely to be available for too long. Also some confusion about a no deal scenario, which is often presented by the media as permanent/in all or nothing terms, that would not be the case. In practical terms it just means a delayed deal in Q1 2021 imv. | essentialinvestor
28/11/2020 09:31 | TRY Interim statement shows they recently added to their CLI stake: ==================== Within the logistics space we took substantial profits in LondonMetric, recycling into Argan in France, Montea and VGP in Belgium and VIB Vermoegen in Germany. The sales in LondonMetric were valuation based and we continue to have a significant holding and full confidence in management. Although London office exposure fell, we added to German cities through Aroundtown and CLS Holdings. | skyship
27/11/2020 17:06 | I think there will be deal too EI, but mainly because covid has made the downside so bad for all. Got a few more at 204p. Time will tell One aspect which really struck me having read some presentations Is their cost of space appears very low. Thats sort of reflected in thier NRV too | hindsight
27/11/2020 16:29 | My concern is how the NI issue is resolved. My Dad, who is Irish and has a better understanding of Anglo-Irish politics than I do, thinks there is very likely a deal and the Internal Markets Bill is ditched. How that would be spun etc. | essentialinvestor |
