16/3/2024 12:57 | Obviously the shares fell because BOA negotiated a price off book or between parties that’s why I asked about the average price paid. | 123trev
16/3/2024 12:13 | walking down off book holding of BOA? | tsmith2
16/3/2024 10:46 | So reading between the lines of the latest comments from the head of the FCA as Chriss pointed out this is going to be far less dramatic although still an unknown hit. Looking at some figures on potential savings to customers since the practice stopped and the years covered its back to £30- 200 million figures I imagine. Obviously the recent fall back in the share price was the walking down off book holding of BOA the question is twofold one what are these big new holders expecting! and what are all their new average purchase price! | 123trev
15/3/2024 16:18 | abrdn plc, 10%, who increased Royal London 5%, M&G 4.8% black rock 5%, FIL 4.6%, now a new major holder BOM 3% who are new investors, and Marshal closed out their short, leaving no borrowed stock, would seem the reverse % of retail investors is unusually high given the former market cap, but falling. | chriss911911
15/3/2024 15:29 | And I suspect the ii’s are getting more information than we are. Suet | suetballs
15/3/2024 15:27 | I wonder if the general public are selling or other banks. I think I read some where that CBG had a very high percent of institution holders. | karv1
15/3/2024 15:17 | Interesting bank of America sneaking in with disclosing a 3% stake on a sleepy Friday........ | chriss911911
15/3/2024 11:46 | Play nice, the head of FCA certainly is, he was at the MSE yesterday and commented, on the potential motor finance claims " I do not anticipate this issue playing out as PPI did, not least because we have intervened early in the interests of market orderliness." starting to get reported more widley... early bird and all that There’s the risk people may be ineligible if they wait to claim, has been commented on a few times over last days, given the new FCA strategy objectives, to balance consumers with a fair, orderly market, they have no desire to steer up a storm... | chriss911911
15/3/2024 10:43 | Please can you two give it a rest. Suet | suetballs
15/3/2024 10:03 | stoopid man I also post on the OSB board and any other board that I want Try to keep up stoopid man lol | popit
14/3/2024 20:45 | Well then go and bore the OSB board with your purchase? Why bore us on the CBG board? | stoopid
14/3/2024 20:03 | stoopid No need to make anything up for OSB The eps for OSB was 106p excluding the interest rate adjustment I bought at £3.30 earlier today and so that gives a PE of just over 3 Market Screener has a forecast eps for OSB of 93p for 2024 and 110p for 2025 So even after a rise of 50p to £3.80 the forecast PE for OSB is still only 4 for 2024 and the forecast PE for OSB is only 3.5 for 2025 | popit
14/3/2024 18:23 | I personally do not look at just the Eps. For me it about the returns policy. On this situation it about what the market will value the Stock in 6 months time if there is no more news with the results... In time My bet/hope is they will retain the old dividend rate at 19% and then the share price will double. But there are so many possibilities, which make the EPS some what irrelevant compared to others. | karv1
14/3/2024 16:47 | EPS would have actually been around 100p if you exclude the one-off, non cash adjustment as detailed in today's results. That said, next year will probably drop to around 70p due to higher funding costs. Medium term, exepct it to get back above 100p once mortgage market settles down. | riverman77
14/3/2024 16:01 | cyberbub The 64p eps forecast is from Market Screener | popit
14/3/2024 15:04 | 123Trev Yes a big fall today for OSB but also a big buying opportunity with a PE of 4 and a 9% yield I added some at about £3.30 | popit
14/3/2024 11:47 | Might seem odd but despite suspending the dividend don't rule out a share buyback come the results, because of the huge discount to NAV. I've seen it happen before. | jonnybig
14/3/2024 11:40 | Popit your post 994, where is the 64p EPS forecast from please? | cyberbub
14/3/2024 10:20 | What do folks think of Julian Rose take on the dic issue! | 123trev
14/3/2024 09:43 | I have just reread the trading update issued on 15th February and I can't see anything materially new being said next Tuesday when we have the half year results. ie - everything still uncertain and no need to make any provision. I think it would be somewhat different if we were faced with full year results. Suet | suetballs
14/3/2024 09:16 | OSB not doing well today popit! Imagine we will catch a cold. | 123trev
13/3/2024 16:51 | business must be booming as down more than up of late, but entertaining at least | chriss911911
13/3/2024 16:14 | More ups and downs than a lady of the nights knickers ...... | stoopid
13/3/2024 06:45 | Undoubtedly this share will be a journey for sure and the unknown liability is of course a massive issue and essentially your taking a bet that it won’t be as bad as some are maintaining. The fact is over the last five years the company has made profits substantially ahead of the current market cap and has substantial assets and has taken steps however unpalatable to meet the problems it’s the oldest merchant bank in the UK and has weathered a few storms in its history. | 123trev
13/3/2024 03:17 | stoopid Anyone can post about any share | popit |
