09/4/2010 13:07 | Agree - makes CC. look very cheap. Makes IGR look even cheaper - £200m turnover, mkt cap £33m :-) CR | cockneyrebel
09/4/2010 13:07 | Fag pack figures, that would value cc. at several times the current market cap - seems a bit pricey to me though! | devonlad
09/4/2010 12:13 | Card Factory sold for £350m. Makes £22m on t/o of £170m. Clinton definitely the wrong price. | randolph and mortimer
09/4/2010 12:10 | More chunky buys. CR | cockneyrebel
08/4/2010 20:23 | I was looking at CC after they had results but with the comments above I think that at present they are fairly priced. For a low pe ratio DMP who have a consistant record does look a lot better on a historic pe of 4.4 | guru11
08/4/2010 10:48 | Large buying late yesterday. CR | cockneyrebel
07/4/2010 11:16 | Nice buying today. CR | cockneyrebel
05/4/2010 22:44 | This week's IC covers the results and rates CC. @ "good value". I would say that is a remarkable understatement IMHO. I would call it a Strong BUY. | thorpematt
28/3/2010 09:58 | Covered in Sunday Times Sharewatch today - can't find the article yet tho. CR | cockneyrebel
27/3/2010 12:57 | Pretty confident to be able to say they expect to beat expectations with 4 months to go when they say trading has been 'subdued' don't you think? Playing it down as they want to do buy backs? CR | cockneyrebel
26/3/2010 18:36 | The debt reduction is one of the things that's interesting here - they'll soon have no debt. The co wanting to buy back up 15% says they expect next year to be better than expected imo. The 6.2p eps forecasts for the coming year which is the Numis upgrade as of yesterday will probably be upped again come the year end results as they are ahead this year. On that forecast the fwd PE is 8 - lower if they are upgraded at the final results. The PE will obviously be a lot lower than that if they buy back 15% of the co shares tho. Looks cheap to me for a co that's debt-free nearly. CR | cockneyrebel
26/3/2010 15:34 | They make a loss in H2. Upgraded forecasts are for 5.5p for the FY putting them on a PE of 9. | wjccghcc
26/3/2010 15:17 | Anyone know what the 'current market expectations' are? They made 6.83p EPS in the first six months.. I assume the first half is usually stronger than the second, but even if they make zero in the second half, that still puts them on a PE of 7.2. And if they make a (conservative?) 3p per share in the second half, that's a PE of 5 at today's price.. what am I missing here? | gargoyle2
26/3/2010 13:08 | CR - You like me must be watching BBC 2 teletext results page and share price results page - I have started to do this again. The pe ratio of CC is now quite low, and I do wonder whether there is not more mileage in the share price | guru11
25/3/2010 11:32 | Fab results today. Kept a bit quiet as I wanted to buy more and I have. "Whilst trading for the first half was very encouraging, the start to the second half has been more subdued. However, we have retained tight controls of our cost base and therefore the Board expects to deliver profit before tax for the full year ahead of current market expectations. " Yep, 3 months to go but they already know they will beat. Oh, and we want to buy 15% of the co shares back on the cheap so lets not sound too bullish ay :-) Wonder who bought the half million yesterday? Wonder who paid 49.75p for 75K today? Lowrey you tool :-) CR | cockneyrebel
12/3/2010 19:45 | Oy Oy...Blazing ! | overmars
05/2/2010 17:41 | cr...buying ekt and cc!!cc sold some at 52p and replaced them at 37.75 today!! jobbing!! | patviera
05/2/2010 11:05 | LS Lowery - I think you are getting a little carried away. This is a decent profitable company who is paying back it's debt well ahead of schedule. There is next to no chance of them going bust. It's one of the better managed companies in the retail sector and if it drops to 30p it will be one hell of a bargain in the medium to long-term, most likely in the short-term as well. | hoper2
05/2/2010 10:07 | No stopping now all the way down to 30p and if that does not hold its curtains. | ls lowry
04/2/2010 14:46 | With retailers set to have a bad year this has a lot further to fall. | ls lowry
04/2/2010 14:14 | Nonsense weakness in a number of retailers recently on VAT raising but really, is that minute amount really going to put people off spending any more than it made people rush out to buy when they cut it? CC. bouncing here on a big support level on the chart - seen the speed they've been paying debt down ahead of scedule? You don't do thatr unless you're doing well imo. CR | cockneyrebel
02/2/2010 14:37 | Got to be a monster rally here at some time not far off imo. CR | cockneyrebel
27/1/2010 18:32 | The 64k was UT. | dawsonpaul
27/1/2010 16:37 | Keen buyer wanted and got 64K @ 44.5p in the closing auction CR | cockneyrebel
26/1/2010 15:10 | No, you can't have my stock, I have lots and we are right on the trend here for a whopper bouce-a-rooney imo. CR | cockneyrebel |
