26/1/2010 12:14 | I seem to have picked up more today on the cheap. Interims in March. Debt being paid down far faster than expected is a clue imo. The possibility of a 'well ahead' here looks very good imo. CR | cockneyrebel
18/1/2010 12:58 | Turning up here, right on trend and on previous support. Look like they could be well ahead of forecasts the way debt is being paid down sooner than expected. Would make the PE sub 7 if so, possible by some way imo. CR | cockneyrebel
15/1/2010 11:28 | Jifster - I think you're spot on tho I think high 50's would be fair value here in all liklihood. CR | cockneyrebel
15/1/2010 11:01 | Right on the trendline to buy here - looking for a sharp bounce soon. CR | cockneyrebel
08/1/2010 21:33 | A reassuringly measured statement, steady rise in sales, subtle reduction in debt...steady as she grows! Long established family business, savvy dealing with the Birthdays chain (CR...don't forget the improved rental terms on properties, all helps the bottom line). I'd be interested in how they are doing margin wise though, I think this is the key to profit growth for now. Once the traders have headed for the exit I can see the price recovering slowly but surely, who knows! Fair price? I'd estimate low 50's range until results and who knows maybe more steady growth. | jifster
08/1/2010 08:09 | Debt being whittled away to nothink - earnings going fwd likely to grow much stronger without thin interest payments. Very solid business now on a good footing imo. CR | cockneyrebel
08/1/2010 08:06 | Decent results - more or less what I expected. Increase in like for like and early repayment of debt is good. Not sure about the performance from Birthdays - think they might be preparing us for a little hit there. I can't see too much up side for the share price over the next 6-months or so, maybe somewhere between the 40p - 50p range, since we are already there I'm going to move on to new pastures. | hoper2
08/1/2010 00:45 | Palviera: My guess is 3% up for the christmas period and 3.5% for the year so far. However, I hope your right. | hoper2
07/1/2010 22:44 | hopefully 4 pct up like for likes | patviera
07/1/2010 12:41 | CR: Update tomorrow Friday the 8th - just seen it on their web site. | hoper2
07/1/2010 11:48 | Update soon I think hoper - nice buy point on the chart. CR | cockneyrebel
07/1/2010 11:24 | Had 93,000 bought at just under 22p, have sold 43,000 this morning to get my stake back. I'm still confident in CC., but a little worried that all this bad weather may hammer retail in the short term. Now hold 50,000 free shares which is always a decent position to be in, so no complaints. Anyone heard any news as to when the Christmas update is? | hoper2
30/12/2009 11:40 | Some large trades at the upen today and creeping up on them - 100K bought at 52p :-) That 500K looks interesting too. CR | cockneyrebel
23/12/2009 14:46 | CC. through 50p here now :-) CR | cockneyrebel
22/12/2009 23:36 | Listening to a report from Royal Mail today saying Christmas card deliveries were 10% down on last year although packages were well up. | sonofbanjosinger
21/12/2009 22:22 | Huge delayed trades going through, very big volume last Friday as well, somethings on the cards! | devonlad
21/12/2009 21:00 | 50p at last - but will it move on from here? Hopefully it will be around the 60p mark when they give their Christmas update. | hoper2
20/12/2009 19:49 | gone into eurostoxx....no overmARS i sold 50 at 49.75..bought 200 at 7p so would be rude not to...px tgt 65p and wont catch top so selling into rise...overmars...bu | patviera
18/12/2009 17:22 | CR - Still not broke 50p, but some very large trades. I didn't know it was going in the "Small Cap" on monday, althought I guess it was to be expected with the increase in the share price I'm sure it will be a least a decent trading statement, I've seen a fair few of their stores recently and all have been busy. Most importantly there have been lots of people at the tills! | hoper2
18/12/2009 16:08 | Feels like the xmas trading statement will be rather good :-) CR | cockneyrebel
18/12/2009 16:04 | 50p being rattled at. CR | cockneyrebel
18/12/2009 15:18 | Still a keen buyer about hoper - goes into the FTSE Small Cap Index Monday :-) CR | cockneyrebel
18/12/2009 11:01 | Lets hope we get some heavy buying later on today - it's finding the 50p barrier a tough nut to crack. | hoper2
18/12/2009 08:34 | See all that buying after the close last night? CR | cockneyrebel |
