I don't know what the argument is about: the buyer of the CLP shell has no interest in 3D city models or driverless vehicles; doesn't value Geosim at all. The interest in Geosim will be sold for $100k, approximately $100k more than I would pay.

Well if CLP does not "fly" then it looks like I will need to get my free bus pass and I will travel the country looking at the fields and wondering and wandering till it is time for the old folks home.

Why don't we have a party in Sardinia?

I think I know somebody who knows somebody who has got I think 10 Villas sitting in a beautiful location.

If you just wait till I confirm my Lear jet has passed its MOT and I will be able to take you all on the experience of a lifetime.

I promise to keep MRPhil and Max in First Class so they don't upset you.(they are not used to travelling cattle class)

Actually, during all of this I've missed the obvious, I should have a conversation with some colleagues who know some ARM guys who know Masa-san who has the money! He can buy GeoSim! I'm on the phone fellas! We've got at least a round of drinks in the kity.

Everyone knows ARM right? THE British tech company of the last 20 year. Why did they buy Apical last year? Perhaps they had some technology that was actually worth something in the world of AI and Computer Vision:

to be fair sheep herder has no track record of walter mitty style fantasising... you, on the other hand, temmujin... you post fictional tip offs and pie-in-the-sky rumours which are the product of your own wishful thinking on a daily/nightly basis.

so on balance, probably not unreasonable to believe that sheepherder is a chip designer, and that if anyone is holed up in a bedsit in slough, it is probably you.

lol, I've just had a look at their 'partners' that you linked to. So, we have a couple of universities, a couple of cities, and a couple of utility providers. And guitar centre. Oh right, that must be it, that must be the big one coming from left field. Guitar centre is it right?

So let me give you a bit of background about myself. I work in the Semiconductor industry as a chip designer. My company is currently developing products aimed at the upcoming self driving world that you are so scared about. Our products are designed to process a camera feed in real time and identify the objects in the field of view. Basically the object tracking you see in that Google video.

I'd be really interested in hearing how you think my company needs the GeoSim technology in order to succeed?

tem, show me something not on their own website. Show me someone singing their praises of the technology or shouting about a partnership that gives credence to your claims. Lets start with the easy one, Google, show me how Google use GeoSim's products.

Secondly, why driverless cars? What do they offer in this space? We already have many companies already developing this tech, Tesla for one, and they don't seem to need to use GeoSim's tech. In fact, Tesla seem to be able use their own current fleet of cars to map out the world's roads and they have video's up online of one of their cars navigating SanFran by itself.

Edit: here's the video:

RKB, how can you have a sensible conversation via email and then question my holding on here when I've already given you the info? Strange. Jekyll and hide maybe.

My point was that I've looked into GeoSim before and they don't crop up anywhere. Most technology companies, if they have any IP worth shouting about, tend to shout about it. If you Google GeoSim you find nothing at all. You get their website but no technology partners, no uses of the technology, no press releases about progress/deals, no big hitting partners, nothing, nada, squat.

They're worthless. You have to have a product that someone wants to buy/use if you are to claim a large valuation. They certainly do not stand out in this regard.
