Lot of food for thought there Joe.
My own way of getting through bad periods is to tell myself, things will change,
the wheel will turn and everything will eventually get or seem better. Fortunately I don`t suffer from anything serious, except being a very long term City fan ;))

What I dont get about mental illness is .............are you born with it or is it caused by a stressful situation(s). Also is it curable or just controlled by medication ?

paul lake got close ...its an illness ...but in football its not good to admit to it get help...this is the problem imo ...in fact if football brought it out into the open it could be made more acceptable ...but i doubt it will happen ..

Joe - its something I have never really understood. To be desperate enough to take your own life........its just very sad and must be devastating for his family and friends.
