05/10/2021 22:13 | Bing: In the motley fool article it says "Cineworld confirmed it had $437m of cash at the end of June" (2021). This is true, but no longer up to date, motley fool did not mention the fact that on the 10th September 2021 Cineworld agreed that they would pay the disgruntled regal investors $122 million. Cineworld also said that another $92 million would be held in an escrow account and be paid out to the disgruntled investors sometime before the end of March 2022. | lthtrust

04/10/2021 16:43 | Grimsby ?? I wouldn't know about Cinemas in Grimsby mate, but the one thing I do know is :- Cineworld in Basildon was very busy last night. Plenty of visitors and most spending money on drinks, snacks and confectionery too. | factsandfigures
04/10/2021 14:59 | They don't have a cineworld at Grimsby! lol | millennialinvestor
04/10/2021 13:57 | Visited our local Cineworld last night to watch the new James Bond movie and it was full to capacity (all be it with the requisite social distancing in place) and more importantly there were BIG queues for later showings too. | factsandfigures
04/10/2021 12:57 | hxxps://shorttracker -------------------- The short interest lists need to be made public on the BBC. Then the UK public can see what is happening like with mrw. hxxps://shorttracker dyor a must. | srpactive
04/10/2021 12:49 | Shorters want cine ruined, I do not. Simple as that. dyor a must as shorters have power. | srpactive

04/10/2021 12:43 | Did Amazon want to buy Regal? So why was mrw shorted so much? | srpactive
04/10/2021 12:31 | An extract: Even more impressive is that No Time To Die became the first film released during the global health crisis to cross the £73.7million ($100 million) mark without a mainland China release, which usually pads out box office figures, though the film was still released in Hong Kong. Maybe that is why Jangho ( Chinese ) hold is it 14%? Hedge fund supporters ruining another UK company so it is cheap for the US asset buyers, like mrw one of the most shorted UK companies since 2017. dyor | srpactive
04/10/2021 12:18 | Bond hitting the US Friday all good fun, but agree debt needs addressing. dyor active | srpactive

04/10/2021 00:20 | It is clear that Cineworld have not met their base case scenario so far in 2021. 60% rising to 90% of 2019 figures by the end of 2021. The best that cinemas/movie theaters have done so far in the USA in 2021 is just over 53% in September 2021. You may have noticed in the 2021 half year accounts that Cineworld lost $576.4million before Tax in the six months to end june 2021. The half year accounts also show the high incremental borrowing rates that cineworld have been using in their calculations. What Iranian nuclear strike ? | lthtrust
03/10/2021 23:06 | LTH, None of us know why they borrowed it. You, me anyone else can guess but we don't KNOW. People and businesses borrow for all sorts of reasons. It's not always because we/they have no money. As is clearly shown in their half year accounts. P.S. Still not seem that Iranian nuclear strike ;-) | 1happyinvestor
03/10/2021 22:44 | 1H why did Cineworld borrow another $200 Million in July 2021 ? I thought that Cineworld said that they had enough liquidity for 2021 and beyond in their 2020 annual report under the assumption that their base case scenario was met. | lthtrust
03/10/2021 20:16 | I used your Friday numbers Jacknife. If you prefer let's use this the most recent weekend and I believe it's up around 85%. 4th Quarter has for some time been quoted by industry as the period they expect the turn around to commence. Both USA and UK off to a good start on the very first weekend of this quarter. It's been a gradual monthly like for like improvement since re-opening. Lets all see how the coming weeks months pan out. We will then know who was right and who was wrong :-) | 1happyinvestor |
