It is odd, but doesn't change the overall mood of the company.

IMHO there will be no settlement. But come September I'm really positive.

apfindley,

so why sell just 22k or his >400k holding then?

...and why no other Director sell with him if the share price is destined to collapse any moment?

Non exec selling shares. Why would he do that.He obviously has less info than the stock pumpers who've been pushing this for 4 years with endless false promises of large payouts for an arbitration which is very risky, has a long way to go, and there is no certainty of any payment, amd definately not the over inflated targets these people are spouting I would tend to believe a director selling is worth noting rather than some ramping postings.

Tribunal statement told you they were out of the office for 3 months whilst ROI grew some brains and settled. The forgery investigations are finished and filed ready for disclosure, the only question they, ROI , need to answer is, do they need the publicity?

Think there has been a bit of profit taking for those made 25% short term. One thing i don't want yet is the price to get a bit too far ahead of itself when still no certainty on the outcome.GLA

Ross, it happened with chl a few weeks ago and has been happening since this entire mess with ROI Started. Buying and selling can go on at anytime outside of the closed period. Insider trading is a completely different scenario.

rossaman,

Would he be party to the talks as a NED?

I would expect any talks to be between the ROI, DQ and probably Nicolas Smith.

Ultimately it is not the role of a NED to get involved in settlement talks - possibly to discuss an offer as/when one is made by the ROI but no beforehand...imo

Maybe today we see a friday pm buying spree which is in its self would be unusual, but perhaps it may be wise, not to out of these for the week-end.

I dont understand the close period talk on here. The door of CHL has been open from day 1, in relation to ooc settlement therefore by the chatter on here ,there has existed, "a closed period since then" of course there has'nt, close period applies to 60 days before price sensitive information is released to the market place, such as quarterly results or half yearly results, an approach by a third party to buy the company. Directors buying or selling during those events within the closed period is barred.

In the case of the chl director selling 22k shares, the only charge that would be possible is, insider trading. Exempli gratia, ROI have offered 10p a share and its been accepted. The tribunal case is lost. CHL have thrown the towel in. All of those scenarios seem highly unlikely,

It is my firm belief that the statement in june, covertly suggested talks between the parties were taking place and the tribunal were taking a back seat in the hope a settlement could be reached without a further discussions with the tribunal.
The tribunal went off to Deliberate further, probably about holiday arrangements or which restaurants are best or which wine goes with what fish. Deliberate indeed.

sportbilly1976 - No I don't think they do but can you give a creditable guess as to why he sold such a small amount of shares ?
