R Globel was 131 in the top global asia rich list (2011) $94M, so i dont think he needs the income. Anyhow RG wasnt appointed as NED, - "Mr Vadlamani has been appointed as a nominee of Cause First Ventures Ltd"

Globel been sacked as trade minister is interesting. Would the Indo gov want to have Globel as a minister when / if they settle with CHL? How would that look?

When Rachmat Gobel was chosen for trade minister he had to give up his directorship with chl to do his duty to the state full time
[as all cabinet ministers had to] and he put 1 of his own men in to replace him on chl board.

The new non exec is our OTHER major shareholder.

So now all major shareholders have a man on the board

Mostly me actually. Added 60,000 this morning and 40,000 yesterday.
The appointment of the non-exec is too much of a green light IMO. The OCC may or may not happen or it could come tomorrow! Happy to stay in for the end game.
