Flat Eric - thanks for the update on the Canadian situation. I presume that we'll have some positive news on the licences by the end of March then? Bad news about the 800k - sounds like an awfully big whack - the've lost a big deal in Canada because of this problem I presume?

Dina - my personal hope is that "the number of opportunities" includes looking for a decent health related company to take over Chromogenex - can't see us getting any money back on our investments in the short term by any other means!!

If anyone wants to clear their decks at a higher price than the bid, then let me know.

I believe this one's ok. Canada was a 3-month paperwork job that looks like costing £800k in sales, but i'd reckon many of those will come back once paperwork's clear. Branch was obviously not suited and I'd presume upset the team. If you guys think it's a pig in a poke then sell me your stock.

chaps I have a strong feeling that Branch actually created this Canada problem. Seems very strange indeed that this whole problem surfaced when Branch had just been engaged!

Chromogenex plc today announces that on 19 February 2008 the Board accepted the
resignation of Chief Executive Allan Branch effective immediately. Mr Branch's
resignation comes prior to the end of his probationary period and is in no way
related to the current or future performance of the Company.

Peter McGuinness, Chairman, will act as Chief Executive effective immediately.
Mr McGuinness has previously been Chairman and Chief Executive from February
2003 until the public flotation in June 2005. During this period the Company
achieved rapid sales growth and moved from a heavily loss making position to
profitability. Mr McGuinness intends to curtail his other business commitments
to focus on Chromogenex and realise the potential of the company.

The Board remains confident about the future prospects of the Company and looks
forward to updating the market on a number of opportunities in due course.

well all I can say is that HB are still taking hits - again today, that's about 300k for the week. There must be a reason! I'm pretty sure that the've been assured by Branch & co that good news is on the way. Let's just hope it's the coming week!!
