23/5/2022 16:30 | ► Investment summary: Chesnara has three pillars for delivering value, but also aims to be the “least troublesome source of sustainable, attractive dividend yield”. A close analysis reveals that there is substance underlying this aim. In our opinion, the discount to Economic Value looks wider than it should, and the yield appears high for a dividend that is both secure and growing. | cwa1
16/5/2022 16:56 | · The recommended final dividend of 14.7p per share is expected to be paid on 24 May 2022. The ordinary shares will be quoted ex-dividend on the London Stock Exchange as of 7 April 2022. The record date for eligibility for payment will be 8 May 2022. | cwa1

21/4/2022 11:42 | Yes agreed, even an extreme move in either direction may induce a shock reaction but it will revert to the mean in time. Of course extracting cash from run off policies is eating your own lunch so deals to maintain cash flows are important. That's what is particularly exciting about Chesnara right now. New chief exec and £200m bond issue. Some interesting months ahead | makinbuks
21/4/2022 11:24 | Makinbuks, Generally neutral you mean. That's the thing about Chesnara, it doesn't win or lose either way... just plods along with it's long term view and healthy dividend. The only issue that might adversley affect Chesnara would be an extreme move in either direction. Most of the time the status quo is preserved, so most of the time Chesnara is a comfortable, boring hold. | al101uk
21/4/2022 11:12 | Part of the attraction here is that the state of the UK economy is largely irrelevant. The wider European economy can hurt the new business volume and increase cancelled policies but it wont affect the release of cash from the run off business. Higher interest rates mean higher investment income and lower liabilities so generally positive | makinbuks
20/4/2022 09:45 | Mmmm depends on your take for the UK economy!!! | renewed1 |
