I think the previous predicable trading range has changed and this is taking on a more generally upwards trajectory.

Not just because of today's movement but looking at the chart. Wouldn't be surprising to see 'higher lows' given the excellent yield and twice-yearly payouts.

Yes this stock presents an interesting income v cap appreciation dilemma and it is still above the rpi which is pretty unusual

Well maybe the 165 is wishful thinking but 170 ish seems a reasonable target after todays ex dividend date in the next month or so ?

I’ve noticed a few people mention this stock about the trading range that seems to be pretty consistent. I’ve got my eye on it now looking for the 165/170 range to buy in 🤔

I bought more at 285 a couple of months ago and sold enough at 312 to clear the cost. Every year I accumulate a few more without increasing my capital outlay, generally buying at around 275 and selling at about 310. It is amazing how predictable this stock is, and how little a regularly rising dividend seems to do for the share price.

Dilemma - in the end took half my profits and let the rest ride for the div. Div should result in about 9p neg but if you hold you get more than that in an Isa in net div. That's why I ended with a compromise!

No dividend dodging for me as my ISA is busy being transferred.

I hesitate to mention it, but CSN is poised to finally breakout from the trading range it's been stuck in since early 2020 - the starting of new ISA allowances tomorrow might possibly be the final push it needs?

Having finished the article I can't say I was impressed with it either. In fact unimpressed would be putting in lightly.

Edmond seems to misunderstand Aviva rather badly. There is a capital return due there of £1 so the comparisons with Aviva are all a bit off. I also question why he keeps talking about P/E. Insurers are not at all well measured using that metric.

Agreed CWA1. I can't really complain as all my purchases are well in to profit, with last months addition at 260 looking particularly well-timed. Profits here tend to be lumpy, but the dividend yield is certainly not to be sniffed at.
