If they manage to maintain the 3% dividend growth rate (it has ranged from 2.9-3.1% since FY2012), the payout for FY21 ought to be approx 22.60p. If so, that would take my yield on cost to over 11% which would be most welcome.

All considered, the results were sound; but I think the Swedish and Dutch open businesses are proving something of a drag.

OK not great figures but this is undervalued anyway. Div increase is either a signal of confidence in the future or a bit toppy. The rise in long term bond yields should surely have helped the share price

Topped up yesterday in anticipation of a good set of results. I'm not disappointed, these should do well today, but, the market can be a fickle beast. If they don't rise I hope to add some of my new ISA allowance here next week.

Surely the results cannot cause this to tank any further, and even if they were as expected that must be positive for the share price Life insurance liabilities should be booming in these COVID times.

Not really, I mean its a life insurer at a time when interest rates are lower than at anytime in history. That means their liabilities are not heavily discounted on the one hand and they earn nothing on the cash they hold as security against those liabilities. But that's been the story for a decade so precisely why they are not back at the 2018 levels of £4+ I don't know. At the end of the day the price of any share is determined by the ratio of buyers and sellers and at the moment life insurance is not a popular sector

I hold a little too but have much larger holdings in LGEN and PHNX If not PHNX then PE has to take over CSN - at some point

I've bought a very small amount, still far from convinced.


BOD holdings are arguably risible having double checked.

Very different to PHNX in that respect, amoung others.

Anyway, let's see what happens.

EI, decide what you want from this, and then make a decision accordingly. It's not going to go off like a firework, but I believe it will go up. If you're happy with say 20% increase plus a divi, it's a good prospect. That would be a pretty good return for most folios.
