No news leaked yet. Good or bad. Just that funny board minute that said the drill was proceeding ahead of schedule.

The share price performance and volume of HRT does not suggest they have found oil, although i really hope i am wrong..

I am sure people will write " no one will know, its a tight ship "

word will always get out and the volumes should be much higher than this if the news was good.

Tower Resources more likely to find oil in Namibia, expert says By Jamie Ashcroft July 02 2013, 8:42am

Namibia focussed explorer Tower Resources (LON:TRP) is more likely to find oil in its next well, according to a new competent persons report.

Tower hired Oilfield International which has assessed the group's assets in light of recent exploration activity in the area.

Most significantly Brazilian firm HRT struck oil with its Wingat exploration well.

And as a result Oilfield International believes Tower's Welwitschia prospect is more likely to find oil rather than gas – its estimate the probability of finding light oil has increased to 65% from 50%.

Similarly the consultant says the Alpha, Gamma and 'inter structural' prospects are also now thought to have a 65% chance of finding oil (rather than gas), up from 45%.

Oilfield International said there was insufficient evidence to make an inference from the third party wells to make volumetric estimates for the Welwitschia prospect. Similarly the geological chance of success remains unchanged.

"Oilfield International's view of an increased probability of the Welwitschia and surrounding prospects containing volatile oil is welcome news and is aligned with our positive view of the results of the Wingat-1 well," said chief executive Graeme Thomson.

According to Thomson the Welwitschia well, which is slated for the first quarter of next year, is one of the highest impact exploration wells to be drilled in sub-Saharan Africa in 2014.[...]

Today's rns corroborates my source. Special committee to recommend by end of July, drill finishes early aug. so recommendations going to the Board BEFORE this drill is finished. Mmmmm

Farm in with 2nd partner, BP IMO, who will partly fund Namibian FDP.

Glad I've bought some more today.

NEWS RELEASE

NEW SPECIAL COMMITTEE

Rio de Janeiro, July 1st, 2013 - HRT Participações em Petróleo S.A. (the "Company" or "HRT") (BM&FBOVESPA: HRTP3, TSX-V: HRP) announces that its Board of Directors, in their June 27 and 28 meeting, reviewed the ongoing drilling program in Namibia where the Murombe well is drilling ahead of schedule and below cost estimates. The well should finish drilling in early August. Polvo transition planning was reviewed with a target to assume operation of the field in the fourth quarter. The Solimões program was reviewed and significantly reduced due to recent results.

The Board of Directors unanimously decided to establish a new special committee to promptly evaluate inorganic development options for HRT, such options including but not limited to potential asset sales, strategic combinations, or sources of further capital. By the end of July, the Committee will develop initial recommendations to the Board of Directors including potential paths forward to maximize value for HRT shareholders.
