This is anecdotal evidence - ie I was told by someone today - they are senior in the oil industry, their company (a super major) holds acreage in our territories. They did not know I hold shares in char or hrt. I have known the individual for 15 years.

Don't ask me anymore because I don't know.

My rationale for posting is to let long term holders know.

It is oil not gas.

I'm not sure the shorts have much more to gain from here and the risks look to be substantially higher.

The share price of Chariot appears to have built in it a zero chance of success at our neighbours big drill. Now in simple words that does not stack up and expect us to begin to move north.

Namibia – what a week!

What a week,

1. Hrt share price increased 43.5 % from it's lows, on above average volume.

2. Namcor and serica host a conference in Namibia to educate local interests about participating in a possible oil boom.

3. Tullow rep announces they are looking forward to the hrt results and that the discovery of source rock is significant

4. Eco oil CEO says that it's not if Namibia has commercial oil but when.

5. Serica CEO says that's it's not if Namibia has commercial but when.

6. Namcor CEO calls on government for extra resources to manage the oil exploration industry.

7.Namibian fiscal terms are very subtley tightened, effectively forces international oil companies to carry namcor 10% and local black empowerment companies 5% through the exploration phase, reference blocks 1711 and 2714 b.

8. The Chinese arrive in Namibia and give a firm well commitment when taking out a licence, usually this only occurs after four years, but they give the undertaking upfront for a new licence, they pledge to spend a minimum of $40 million and drill to at least 5,000 meters, and post a $4 million bank guarantee of performance.

9. Speculation mounts that hrt may have found commercial oil in it's Baobab prospect which is currently drilling. Poster c10b says he was told of a discovery by an oil industry senior executive.

Is it all a coincidence?

Good luck all for tomorrow....if Char starts heading towards £1 plus on the back of HRT commercial oil find, then i can't see Trp staying under 2p for much longer. ;-))

"hopefully it will be real"........if HRT confirm major oil find....then there's everychance!!! GLA ;-)))

What is your overall view of the potential for your acreage in Namibia?

This is one of the most exciting things I've seen. Jim Webb, who is our Exploration Manager and of similar vintage to myself, says he's also never seen anything like it. It is modern technology so we have to be a little bit careful how we interpret it but such strong hydrocarbon indicators on something this size, it is glowing in the dark. We have never really seen anything like it and hopefully it will be real. This sort of scale and the sort of comfort that has been given by the interpretation of the data. As I say, it is very rare that you come across something like that. Even 1 billion barrels would be transformative for us and that is the bottom end of the resource potential. So you can sense why we are itching to get the well down. If it does work, it is going to be one of the biggest things to happen in our sector for many, many years. I suppose Cairn Energy (LON:CNE) in Bangladesh was similar, and Kurdistan in its way is also as important to the players there. Obviously the market will get quite excited about it when we get closer to it.

Yes Kiwi Nimrod is far from dead. Another interesting thing is - as pointed out by Jimmy on iii and here hxxp://www.helioschariot.com/2013/06/29/namibia-energulf-15-interest-in-petroleum-agreement-block-1711-and-drill-deeper/ is that the Energulf deal is in block 1711 - next door to Chariots 1811 - where we 'missed' on Tapir. Not only that - they are apparently drilling pretty much on the border with our acreage... it gets more curious by the day (in a good way).

Also C10B has just posted on iii that HRT have struck oil - if he is right then WTF! The HC site said the ETA for baobab was 29th June some time back - so looks like his/her calculations were pretty much spot on. And two more prospects to go on the SAME DRILL. Also on the infamous helioschariot site the video of the week shows Gil Holzman in Paris earlier this week - watch the video - an eye opener.

Given all the other stuff that happened this week things are getting steel furnace hot ...the market is turning in our direction. One strike and happy days...

And then there is Mauritania, Morocco, Brazil.....hehe

It's been an excellent week for HRT. There is also the minutes from the 27th - hxxp://www.helioschariot.com/2013/06/29/hrt-board-meeting-minutes-27th-june-farm-out-negotiations-are-ongoing/

which implies a strong possibility for a 4th HRT Drill for this campaign - reading between the lines so to speak.

With all the other news In Namibia last week - Energulf, Labat, Duma etc etc it's just a matter of time. I continue to accumulate. The Namibia centrals partnering process opens this week, and we should have news on the partnering process for the Northern areas real soon. Now - if only Tullow could kick off that July Mauritania drill as well ... ;-)
