15/5/2013 08:13 | From the HRT 1Q report published overnight: In the first quarter, HRT announced the spud-in of the Wingat-1, at PEL-23, the first offshore well in its three back-to-back drilling foreseen at its exploratory campaign this year. This well had a target to encounter the reservoirs of an Albian carbonate platform, which were hit at 4,050 m depth below the sea-level. HRT forecasts that the current activities in the Wingat-1 well will be concluded next week. | ![]() moneymunch

15/5/2013 06:28 | RIO DE JANEIRO--Brazilian oil startup HRT Participacoes em Petroleo SA (HRTP3.BR) expects to have results from its first well drilled off the Namibian shore this week, a company executive said Tuesday. "I think this week we're going to have the results," said Luiz Sguissardi, HRT's governmental affairs manager. Mr. Sguissardi made the comments on the sidelines of Brazil's 11th round auction of oil and natural gas exploration concessions. HRT started drilling the prospect, dubbed Wingat, in March. The well is currently undergoing further testing that should be completed in coming days and allow the company to make an announcement, Mr. Sguissardi said. "I hope that we will have news," Mr. Sguissardi said. Namibia is the crown jewel of HRT's portfolio of oil and natural gas exploration blocks. Geologists believe the highly prospective region off Namibia's coast could hold billions of barrels of oil under similar conditions to Brazil's subsalt, where oil was discovered trapped under a thick layer of salt. The two areas were connected millions of years ago. HRT plans a three-well drilling campaign in West African seas this year. HRT is also in talks to sell an additional stake in its Namibian oil and natural gas exploration blocks, with proceeds earmarked to fund drilling of a fourth well. Portugal's Galp Energia (GALP.LB) previously acquired a 14% stake in three of HRT's exploration blocks in return for covering a portion of drilling costs. HRT holds operating stakes in 10 blocks and minority shares in two others in the Walvis, Orange and Namibe basins. Oil industry consultants DeGolyer and MacNaughton pegged average prospective resources for HRT's offshore acreage in Namibia at 7.4 billion barrels of oil equivalent. Average prospective resources are a preliminary measure used by the industry to indicate oil volumes that could be recovered from undiscovered deposits. Read more at | ![]() moneymunch

14/5/2013 19:25 | Monkey et al - I know lots are into TRP - look the thing to remember is this - There will be several more Drills in the next 12 months, one has to come up with good results. Its not a case of if, its a when. I know of 5 companies that will be preparing drills in 2014. That could result in another 15 drilled wells. Think about THAT! But for now, we have 5 odd this year. Its all to play for and investors here, just sit back and enjoy the ups and downs. Don't let the posters who have no knowledge get to you. The Oil Exists. It will Become a Reality. Just look at the Dozens of COmpanies and Billions of $ being prepared for the region. Good Luck Investors. KM | ![]() kiwimonk

14/5/2013 19:15 | HRT Price Action Namibia news will likley not be released until the end of the month, so there is actually quite a bit of time until then. Realistically, the idea that we get news from Wingat before the 20th of May is wishful thinking IMO. Well logging will add to this timeline. There is No volume behind these share price moves, and therefore they are really meaningless. Any REAL news (good or bad) related to the WINGAT well, and the volume will flood in.....Millions of shares. The wild card is the HRT-11 well. Results could come any day, and OIL hit should be a nice pop for share price. With the Brazil auction on the 15th however, I wonder if not disclosing the results would give HRT an edge on obtaining new blocks, or getting a good set of partners. Basically leverage their "undisclosed" results for a bigger piece of the pie. The info they have on the region and HRT-11 well, could be quite valuable.......befor Also, the 2nd Farmout partner/PR is out there. This news could break any time as well, but it could work against them if they DO hit OIL on the first Namibia well. Prices to Farmin to the other 3 wells will Skyrocket if they hit OIL on number 1, so they will get much more $$$$ on the backend if this is the case. Opposite is true if they hit a duster. I actually don't want a 2nd farmout partner to come on board, until after WINGAT results, because I think they will strike hyrdocarbons, particularly OIL. Think 3-5X in Farmout monies. I am using the recent price action to pick up a few more thousand shares this week, and hopefully a Pile more early next week. With that said, my money thinks HRT-11 results come out this weekend. Cheers !!! Van | ![]() moneymunch
