Jonathan's visit could help bolster discussions on the Nigeria- Namibia Joint Commission for an oil refinery at Walvis Bay in Namibia. At present, trade in petroleum products is virtually non-existent between the two countries. However, President Pohamba told Daily Trust in Windhoek in an interview that Namibia is all too willing to import Nigerian oil.

What a perfect opportunity for Namibia to agree joint venture todaywith Nigeria for an oil refinery at Walvis Bay on the back of news that HRT had found oil........a perfect script. :-)

Transocean Marianas & supporting vessels Allmines 6 Just a short update on Marianas and her supporting vessels

She has just come back on tracking system and is still anchored in the same position over Wingat.

Maersk Shipper - AHT, last seen almost 4 days ago, next to Marianas

Maersk Traveller - AHT, on her way to Marianas, having left Luderitz late yesterday.

Siem Louisa - supply vessel, left Marianas this afternoon heading to Walvis Bay

Sanco Spirit - seismic vessel, has been in all HRT blocks in the last few weeks carrying out further seismic work. Over the last week she has been working north to south around 60-90 n m west of Marianas.

From LSE:

Three points:

1) Petrobras still hires out storage facilities in Luderitz, where it houses a fairly proportion of well testing equipment.

2) Schlumberger (drilling contractors aboard the Transocean) are among the best in the business when it comes to drilling, with the ability to do Measurements and Logging While Drilling (MWD/LWD). However, if logging revealed a reservoir or oil/gas shows worthy of testing, then they would need bespoke testing equipment to conduct flow metrics.

3) Maersk Traveller is in the process of returning from Luderitz.
