I'm sure it will get there. Action in NY and in Texas lightly to establish this at 1-1.5p over the next month or two, which in itself should act as a foundation for greater returns in due course. This has been in the deep freeze for so long the thaw might be a little gradual to begin with! Best wishes to all holders

Yes, close a deal in NY I think. Plus don't forget Texas - could be news there too soon. At last, signs of some real progress for Challenger. Who knows where the share price will go, but it won't be down!

The really important thing about the extension to next week is that it shows there are active investors in the process of making a deal. The project is very much alive with the potential to become active again in the short term.

This is a very positive development for holders. I don't think I would fancy being on the wrong side of this share price.

Great news for Challenger - looks like patience about to be finally rewarded after a difficult year.

NY Wheel applies for an extension to get the project back on track

In court papers filed on Tuesday, the NY Wheel said it wants to extend the Sept. 5 deadline pursuant to an agreement currently being prepared.

The NY Wheel issued the following statement to the Advance:

"The New York Wheel is in the process of negotiating an amendment to the settlement agreement, including extending the standstill period. In connection with the amendment negotiations, all parties have agreed to extend the Sept. 5, 2018 deadline in the settlement agreement until, at least, Sept. 11, 2018, so that the amendment can be negotiated."

The amendment would extend the standstill period and make some other changes -- which are not specified -- to some previously agreed to terms, according to court papers.

If the NY wheel doesn't file the motion on Friday, then the standstill will expire on Sept. 11, according to court documents.

The NY Wheel wouldn't provide further details of the amendment at this time.

CITY TRYING TO HELP?
Although the project is entirely funded by private investors, Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a recent town hall meeting that City Hall would get involved to help see a resolution for the embattled New York Wheel.
However, he recently told an Advance reporter that it's the city Economic Development Corporation that could help move the project along.
"The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) leaders have been in touch with the folks behind the Wheel to figure out an equitable solution. Remember, this is a private sector development, we want to be supportive but...this is not something initiated by the city. It's something that we want to find the right way to support if there is such a way; that's what the conversation has been about," said de Blasio.

Ask yourselves this negative posters.Why would the CLN holder agree to relinquish over £500k of debt.If CHAL was to go under they would of been a lot better off and would not of renegotiated as they are the preferred creditor...Am I wrong ????
