Pump dumpers have left a lot of people stranded here. Over 0.4p paid nearly two weeks ago, compared to todays 0.25p and dropping.

The New York Wheel gets another lifeline according to reports. Development team will now have until early 2019 to hire a new contractor. A motion to approve this amendment has been scheduled.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A day after the city announced it will not provide financial support for the New York Wheel, the project's developer said it is still in active negotiations in hopes of moving the 630-foot tourist attraction forward.

"The Wheel remains committed to pursuing this project, which is the cornerstone of the entire North Shore waterfront redevelopment, and which will generate significant tax revenues for the City, generate thousands of good-paying jobs and represent a new iconic tourism landmark for New York City, drawing millions of visitors to the Island," a NY Wheel spokesperson said.

On Thursday, the Advance learned the city Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) would not provide financial support for the New York Wheel, which is facing a looming court-ordered deadline to raise funds and get the project back on track.

However, when reached Friday for comment, the NYCEDC said it remains prepared to work collaboratively with the NY Wheel and explore alternate options that will allow construction to recommence.

A NY Wheel spokesperson said the developer was surprised by NYCEDC's earlier statement that the project is "too risky" for city investment.

"Although the NY Wheel developers were disappointed and surprised by the NYCEDC's definitive statement about The Wheel's proposed finance plan -- given that only Wednesday we were encouraged to continue negotiations with the city -- in reliance upon those continued negotiations with the city, The Wheel has obtained an extension of the standstill period to continue these negotiations," said the Wheel spokesperson.

The share price must go up substantially as the company saves a lot of money in interest on the conversion of the loan notes. Yes, there is dilution due to more share being issued but the conversion is beneficial to the company.The company is so tiny, so any good news will propel the share price much higher.

All parties in agreement.
Too many with vested interests in this proceeding for it not to.
NYW will proceed quickly once agreement finalised.
All major infrastructure already in place and legs built.
Just needs assembling.
Shopping complex and Artisan food outlet opening imminent and needs wheel to attract footfall.
Chinese investors wont want to give their Green Cards back, so will endure this goes ahead quickly....
