FuelCell , Ballard and Plug Power are all up strongly today at or near to their 3 month highs .

Ceres entered the FTSE 250 at its year's high of 300p in September and is exiting the FTSE 250 only three months later near to its year's low . As index trackers appear to pre-empt such moves both ways , this implies that the exit is probably / definitely in the price .

Furthermore ,the Ceres shareprice is back to around the same levels at which the company announced its four major deals of 2024 , Delta in Taiwan , Shell in India , Denso in Japan , and Thermax in India .

With Bosch and Doosan starting volume growth next year the trading update in January should surely be gung-ho ?

Umm....too many late nights i suspect Brucie!Volatility straddles are,or were, popular when dealing in traded options. You buy a put and a call in the expectation that the stock will display exceptional volatility and then you can finesse your trades accordingly. Its possible that our shorter is employing this methodology but frankly,i think it unlikely.

Perhaps,it seems a bit late in the day to be doubling your short position when the stock has fallen 40% in a matter of weeks.Could be part of a volatility straddle.

Back in here and IES; maybe time for these two to shine again. I see CWR in particular as oversold given that there has been afaic no bad news, only good. HGEN has obviously been a terrible comparator, suggesting disenchantment in the prospects of the H2 sector; but I think in the case of CWR that is premature, not least because of its IP business model. In due course I certain expect to a repeat of that surge to £3.00. In the meantime it remains well capitalised.
NAI, DYOR, obviously.

Ceres Power’s projects for 2027 continue its focus on advancing solid oxide electrolyzer (SOEC) technology for green hydrogen production, targeting industrial applications such as steelmaking and chemical production. Key partnerships with Bosch and Linde Engineering include a two-year demonstration of a 1 MW SOEC system, which began in 2024, to validate its efficiency and scalability. By 2027, Ceres aims to achieve broader commercial adoption through mass manufacturing, leveraging Bosch’s expertise and Linde’s industrial process engineering capabilities. These efforts position Ceres as a leader in industrial decarbonization technologies.

Ceres Power,is making significant advancements with key projects planned for 2026. Through collaborations with major partners like Delta Electronics and Shell, Ceres is focusing on scaling its solid oxide technologies for fuel cells (SOFC) and electrolysis (SOEC).
1. Delta Electronics Collaboration: Ceres has entered a £43 million partnership with Delta to manufacture SOFC and SOEC systems. Production is expected to begin by late 2026. These systems will cater to sectors like chemicals, energy, transportation, and steel, offering efficient hydrogen-based solutions. The SOFC technology boasts up to 85% efficiency with heat recovery, while SOEC provides cost-effective green hydrogen for industrial decarbonization.
2. Shell Partnership: Ceres is working with Shell on a pressurized 10 MW SOEC module, building on earlier demonstration projects. This technology aims to support industrial applications, such as green steel and ammonia production, and features high efficiency, producing about 35% more hydrogen per unit of energy. The project is part of Shell’s strategy to scale sustainable hydrogen solutions.

These initiatives align with the growing global demand for green hydrogen, predicted to reach 223 million tons annually by 2030, and demonstrate Ceres’ role in advancing the hydrogen economy and industrial decarbonization.

Ceres Power’s prospects for 2025 appear strong, with key advancements in its solid oxide technology and partnerships with industry leaders. The company, known for its solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), is also advancing its solid oxide electrolyzer cells (SOECs) for green hydrogen production. These electrolyzers could achieve production costs below $1.50/kg, which would make hydrogen competitive in decarbonizing industries like steel, industrial gases, and e-fuels. The first commercial SOEC systems are expected to be available in 2025, building on a 2024 product release .

Ceres operates a capital-light model, licensing its technology to partners such as Bosch, Doosan, and Weichai, who are expected to bring manufacturing capacities online by 2025. This model ensures scalability and positions Ceres for steady royalty revenues. However, competition from alternative technologies and the broader role of hydrogen in the energy transition remain key challenges .

With a growing portfolio and major partnerships, Ceres Power is poised for a pivotal role in hydrogen technology markets, making 2025 a crucial year for its commercial and operational milestones.
