30/11/2024 12:19 | Did we know about this involment by Ceres? The "Bay Hydrogen Hub – Hydrogen4Hanson" project is an innovative initiative aimed at using nuclear-generated hydrogen to decarbonize industries like asphalt and cement production. The consortium involved in this project includes: EDF: Leading the project and providing nuclear heat and electricity. Hanson UK: A construction materials producer. National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL): Contributing research and development expertise. Hynamics: Specializing in hydrogen production and distribution. CERES Power: Providing solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) technology. EDF R&D and EDF Generation: Supporting the project with research and operational capabilities. The project has received significant funding and support. The UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero announced £6.1 million in funding for the Bay Hydrogen Hub, which will be matched by the project partners, bringing the total to over £15 million. This funding will help develop the final design for hydrogen production, distribution, and end-use technology, and explore the full costs and delivery plans. The project aims to use nuclear-generated hydrogen to decarbonize industries like asphalt and cement production. The consortium, which includes EDF, Hanson UK, National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), and Vulcan Burners, is working on demonstrating the integration of solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) technology with nuclear heat and electricity. There haven't been any specific updates in 2024 for this project but it is clearly ongoing and the EDF involvement is significant. | smokey 1o3

27/11/2024 08:15 | Power division ( ethanol, natural gas) should save us from disaster. Is this the primary market Koreans are aiming for? Yes, it is. And a bit in carbon substitution in heavy industries like steel manufacturing. Hydrogen will be a small niche for us for the next decade We must know how much we will get from royalties; the revenue forecast is foggy. | book5
