Thanks Crossing It's a strange one because every article you read says exactly the same thing. So when Tuesday comes what will come out that will surprise to the up or the downside. Apart from the dividend which has been well and truly flagged then forward guidance and customer numbers will ultimately be the driving force come Tuesday ??

All eyes on Tuesday interim results..

"Centrica is widely expected to slash its dividend when the British Gas-owner publishes half-year results Tuesday. Chief executive Iain Conn has already cut the payout once, back in 2015, and it seems the 12p per share annual return will suffer the same fate.

A drop in Centrica's share price ahead of these results, raising the prospective yield to almost 14%, suggests the writing is on the wall. And it should wield the axe given a range of issues hampering profitability. Even if it halves the payout, the shares would still yield almost 7%!"

WhatsupSPD underlying EBITDA excluding House of Fraser was at their mid forecast, so okay. When including HoF it wasn't as bad as I thought and tbh at c 17p underlying eps they are on a PE of 13. The major issues are Mike Ashley slagging HoF off and saying it's a mess that can't be sorted (so why did he buy it!), they won't give any FY guidance anymore mainly because they don't know (which is a worry to say the least) and they were hit with a massive tax bill from Belgium only yesterday apparently.........apart from that!.CNA won't be anywhere near as bad, may be better than expected, who knows.

I think that's the best approach. This stock has been a complete disaster. My worst stock pick ever. Down 168k not including 58kof dividends. We can in hope now which is not a great strategy.DD you'll be knocking one out to that won't you .)

RE:20413Watcha Q, sorry I mean Walter.The guy that has been posting every day for a couple of years now that DEB is hammering up......down over 90%!.Why don?t you tell everybody how you managed though to achieve ?8.5 MILLION TAX FREE profit shorting the DEB share.......cuckoo cuckoo.Another contradiction my friend!!!
