Sorry dead right he is the CFO. Even better IMO to have a chartered accountant who is also on the inside buying in. There is no political motivations for a non exec to buy in, it will just be a purchase based on value and an investment after careful analysis of the balance sheet!

Kevin O'Byrne, the recent director who purchased over (first time) £37K worth of CNA shares yesterday is the CEO of Sainsbury's.

A canny investor IMO, he knows value when he sees it. Very content to be a holder here, this will turn, currently 2p down per share on my investment (cum divi) but in choppy times this is a steady ship at this valuation IMO. Time will tell

Wind farms take market by storm

SSE wind farms take market by storm

May 30 2019, 12:01am, The Times

Projects with high subsidies like Beatrice in the Moray Firth now look very lucrative

Eight miles off the Caithness coast in the Moray Firth, SSE has just installed the 84th and final turbine of the Beatrice offshore wind farm (Emily Gosden writes). When the £2.6 billion, 588-megawatt project is fully running this summer, it should generate enough electricity to power 450,000 homes — and enough cash to make a healthy return for the energy group.

In 2014, the government awarded a contract guaranteeing SSE an inflation-linked price of £140 for every megawatt-hour (MWh) of electricity that Beatrice generates — more than £158 in today’s money, or roughly treble present market prices. The project, of which SSE owns 40 per cent, could be in line for £250 million a year in subsidies.

Shortly before it won the contract, SSE had…

I would love to see ONLY a scrip / drip available to those getting the dividend, saving the company money.

Adopt this policy for 5 years - I would love that.

Just a simple apology is all I ask GOM and then it'll all go away. It's funny how DD can say what he wants about people but can't handle a downtick. When I picked him up on it when he pitched up here he conveniently turned on the filter button.I don't tolerate personal attacks about me and my family. If you endorse that kind behaviour so be it!!!Do you have a family???Do you tolerate someone casting aspersions about someone they've never met ???Anyway Have a good day
