13/5/2019 09:20 | 235 x 3 (annualised).UK Home energy is about 25% of total income (sorry, thought it was more than that). | discodave4
13/5/2019 09:17 | I don’t see any other utility in better condition, do you ? . The companies that are after more customers lower their prices and surprise surprise go bankrupt . Ofgem is now aware of this and decided not to allow new entrants into the market unless they have sound finances . Not sure where you get 700k from my number was 235k . Although I could be wrong | whatsup32
13/5/2019 09:08 | "It's easy to stop or even reverse churn by just lowering prices to below competitors."And lose revenue and earnings, their margins have zero flex to change UK churn, sorry but completely disagree. They will not improve earnings by losing 700k UK customers every year. Unless I've misread it but they are also saying that even with such a loss they are still going to get a c £70m hit from tariff cap........which I'm assuming means most of the customer losses were on their higher SVT, not cheaper contracts. The cap increased their income for SVT so customers walked because they weren't offered a better contract. How much of their revenue is UK home energy, 50%, 60% - will check, unless somebody can post it up. | discodave4
13/5/2019 09:07 | Futures stateside looks horrid . Dow down 330 Nas down 130 Tariff talks failure said to be the reason | whatsup32
13/5/2019 08:52 | found out today that cna has a power station in barry s. glam, thats spitting distance to me,i had no idea! anyway they,ve closed it down as NG would not renew the contract,19 blokes were working there, small potatoes i know. | mroalan
13/5/2019 08:46 | DD. It’s easy to stop or even reverse churn by just lowering prices to below competitors. Conn is more interested in margins as stated in his statement | whatsup32
13/5/2019 08:44 | My reading was 20,000 last quarter . 234k for the U.K. annual.? | whatsup32
13/5/2019 08:42 | "churn not bad considering"It must be a concern they are losing possibly another 700k UK customers this year (again). | discodave4
13/5/2019 08:39 | diku ... please give it a rest there is enough negativity here | whatsup32
13/5/2019 08:38 | I bought £10k more Tui Friday that’s down 2.5% too. So now everything I own here is down. | whatsup32
13/5/2019 08:36 | Down ticker very excited today like a school kid getting chocolates...no Vitamin D today?... | diku
13/5/2019 08:35 | Same old CNA ..... never lets you down!! | nortic 007
13/5/2019 08:35 | Surprised!!!! :) | nortic 007
13/5/2019 08:34 | Only 1 % up now . Looks like hasn’t got legs | whatsup32
13/5/2019 08:29 | DD, you may be right. The wording used was not overly confident which implies slightly worse than market expectation. I would probably put it as 50:50. Whether an announcement at the interims is a profit warning is a mute point. What makes it go from roughly market expectation to be below expectation! Let's see how the share price runs over the few weeks. But if I were you I would be prepared to close out some soon and book your gains. Any gains in today's market are a job well done! | redtom1
13/5/2019 08:28 | One thing that did interested me was they didn't go into an extended 5 minute auction. So maybe people saw the announcement for what it was!!! | nortic 007
13/5/2019 08:28 | No shocks. Clockwork sold for £230million , possible more news on sale of Nuclear stake in 2 months , churn not bad considering | whatsup32
13/5/2019 08:25 | I wouldn't get to confident about today. The old saying in the City is" the first move is always the wrong one" but let's see what the pencil pusher have to say. I think they'll use words like "lack of clarity". | nortic 007
13/5/2019 08:24 | Diku, A dividend is likely to be rebased in direct relation to eps and cashflow, not the share price. With earnings this year of approx 8-9p, a dividend of 6-8p is likely, ie it is fully covered and it frees up some cash for debt repayment or use within the business. | redtom1
13/5/2019 08:23 | Yes of course in an attempt to cut debt! | gotnorolex
13/5/2019 08:22 | Divi should be based on profits so the share price is irrelevant | gaffer73
13/5/2019 08:15 | Morning red.A "largely in-line" IMO is a heads up for a likely profit warning at Interims, we will see in July.Friday could have been bottom, who knows. Guessing a vote on the divi is an AGM resolution?. May just see how this unfolds before closing. All the best. | discodave4
13/5/2019 08:14 | Would that mean more shares in issue?... | diku
13/5/2019 08:13 | Wednesday will tell how many shares we've been allocated! | gotnorolex
13/5/2019 08:12 | Difficult to rebase a divi when share price is in a falling down trend...if you rebase divi and share price keeps falling yielding 12% again then what?... | diku |
