This is virtually at a 20 year low and a third profit warning on the cards IMO, a couple of days of blue does not a summer make.

I personally feel the only way that Centrica can move ahead is by more drastic cost cutting. Staff numbers are still incredibly high (with associated high salaries) for a business barely making a profit. Having working there for a lot of years I can assure you there is a hell of a lot of fat behind the customer facing business. I would have sold these years ago but keeping hold in a kind of misplaced loyalty.

Portside. Good sentiment re shops however I worked for British Gas when they had shops and they were losing a fortune - the reason they were closed. Plus that was at a time when footfall was high which is no longer the case and getting worse. There is a reason retailers are going bust or reducing store numbers - the internet. I don't like it but that's the reality

Nortic 007 : The plethora of negativity from some posters is very understandable however ....are we witnessing the shoots of recovery ...in that the share price has today hit a high for the past week ...on low volume ...which is normally a good sign ? Is this the run-up to the ex-dividend date in early May? Also have noted ( and switched ! ) to Martin's 'best buy' ...British Gas as my dual fuel supplier including free Energy Plus Boiler Cover . I feel sure that I will not be the only one.

opening shops would make bg back to being seen as good to be a customer

conn needs to act and act now

Slowly coming off again. Trend clearly down. Same old same old. At least my last trade at 121.9p isn't under water.....for the moment !It won't last. To any new comer who's thinking of taking a position here ....Ha ha ha ha !

for the last 8 weeks S/P SSE OVA have set up stalls in shopping centers

centrica nothing , in my view centrica should open stores again just small ones selling cookers and all elec products , like it did many years ago and base they would gain many new customers I like to talk to some one not a phone .

this is why they are losing customers in their thousands

they do not have to have the goods in the shop just in mags

just for a look at offers by uswitch I used their site and put in 5 different homes in my street ever one was a different quote for the same figs

why is ofgem not looking into these crooks is it run by them and mps
