Buyers possibly holding back waiting for guidance on dividends. Market probably expecting a cut.the sooner guidance is given the better. Once that’s out of the way this should be on a positive path.

Nortic 007 . That site I quoted definitely stated 0.7% short. Someone else had a different figure from another site. Not sure why the discrepancy

Shell paid a good premium for BG so the CEO would still expect 40% on top of his 123

but there again that is peanuts for this fella......

conspiracy theory it could all be a plan to get the share price down as low as possible for a BP/Shell bid. but then the CEO purchased £123,000 worth at 123p.

well after buying a shed load a few weeks back i sold out after a few days
into that little spike. I had intended holding long term as i thought 122 was
a good price. then i realised we were in the middle of a winter heat wave. My
log store was still half full, which is a good barometer.

Still following closely, think this will fall 20% if divi gets cut.

iF Shell or BP bid expect 40% premium.

at 120p, that is precisely 10% yield. rarely see blue chips yielding 10%.

Thanks for a link to the FT article 666james... Mr Happy's comment probably covers how many of us feel:

Mr Happy Jul 31, 2018
In my view the company is on a long road to nowhere with a few stops in between. There is little substance to the plan and I see nothing in the article that says they have a viable business plan to raise the company out of the mire except to sel revenue earning assets to pay down debt and that is a double edged sword. So the dividend looks like it will come down again soon. A nice value trap. The shorters will be having a field day with this one. Sadly I have friends who were heavily into this share and did not bail out and now they are nursing serious losses. A new Board is required in my view, get rid of the jam tomorrow business plan and put some sensible numbers in.

I love your enthusiasm and I'm long of a few but I'm afraid you'll find they'll cut the dividend and that's the maths behind their thinking ......My 5% is a little harsh. Maybe a percentages 1 or 2 higher which and the end of the day is nothing to be sniffed at.I'm still going to give you a thumbs up anyway because I hope I'm wrong.

and what if they manage to hold the annual dividend at 12p? study the results, it looks to have a good chance.

a 5% yield would translate to 240p, 100% upside!

They'll short at 10 % because they think it'll got to 5% .....that's how it works!!
