Cna has not issued a profit warning and has a rather different business model to sse. Cna results were fine. So much pain is already baked in here. The share price is only trading in a range at the moment. Not the end of the world. Just a bit itritating but sentiment and momentum can change easily to the upside.

Patience as always required here. It is a recovery story in the making after 5 years of hell. To sell now out of frustration as we are near the bottom would be a shame. Look at the long term charts here. Divi looking much safer now cap has been sorted and it was also not the worst case scenario.

Every cloud as a silver lining.

It is hard to shed a tear for the dozens of small energy companies with their tempting low teaser rates.
If the big players are suffering little wonder so many of the newer companies are close to bankruptcy.
In the longer term this difficult market could be good for CNA.

Hanging in there, a poor day for us with SSE issuing a profit warning, it said profits you be significantly lower if Ofgem implement its curbs of standard variable tariffs as expected in January.

Someone sank my Battleship! Not great news but SSE still turned a profit & I guess a price cap was never gonna be good for the profit margin so I’m just gonna keep on holding,I was sitting on a loss here yesterday so not much has changed for me.

The market seems surprised at the SSE result.
A heatwave and high gas prices, fierce competition and political worries.
Add to that the calm weather comment, which means the wind does not blow their windmill,
then we have a perfect storm.
CNA also have to pay a green tax to subsidise windmills.

We shall have to write off this summer.

SSE earnings forcast lower than expected because of higher gas prices and calmer weather. But not reducing divi.

Hi whatsup, I think a lot of us are down at the moment. Even Lloyds I am down over 4K in the last 3 months since buying them, ouch ! less div.
