Know the feeling chaps, just came back in. Strange isn't it yesterday we were up 2.75p and thought 1.50 here we come, then it drops all the gain, and today, well it speaks for itself. I agree with you Nortic, this is one of the dullest shares I have owned. Yes losses, Lloyds no better with RBS sell off, whole banking sector hit bad, not panicking, best thing to do is not look at them till the end of the day

Morning capeview, as expected with the sale of RBS shares buy the Government, pulling them down in that section. Not to bad here at the moment

Morning JP. Yep, must be a bit of a sell off for profit taking after a few nice days and the oil rise and RBS sale hitting the news. Same old stuff.

Iceman, I just buy a few shares that I like and follow for many years, Barclays and Lloyds are two of them, along with Tesco's, Sainsburys, M&S and a bunch of others.

Best thing to do is to see what takes your fancy, do some research into it and see if it's something you're comfortable with. Can't tell you want to invest in, only what I do.

Like a good few years ago, my dad told me to look out for signs when out and about for companies that may be expanding, and check if they have a presence on the markets.
I did this for quite a while and still do. I was on holiday once and noticed HANSON(Brick and Cement firm I think it was) were having more and more trucks on the roads. I checked the share price and yep, over the years it went up. Just at the time I didn't have the money to invest in them, but if I had it would have been a hefty increase because they were bought or merged with someone else.

But that doesn't always mean it will work, but a good thing to remember. ;)

Well, looking so good at one point, but just no real ommph behind it. Still, maybe it's just like shaking a tree to get rid of the overgrowth in produce so the better ones can grow big and juicy. ;)

Who knows, but sounds good in practice.

lets just hope for a better week over all. Still happy I sold a few of them to buy some other stocks though.
