27/5/2018 10:01 | Sunday Times headline “Deadline for Hitachi over £15bn Welsh nuclear plant” Decision this week , Goverment wants Hitachi to undercut on price the £20bn Hinkley point plant in return U.K. will take a stake and guarantee loans. It doesn’t seem like the Japanese are too keen and Hinckley point I think is way over budget. If Nuclear build plan doesn’t pan out as planned and maybe 10-20 wannabe power suppliers disappear then I can see CNA getting seriously higher share price as the Goverment May take the view it’s already getting a good deal from the big 6 Severn Trent has a received Ann avoid rating from Sunday Times | ![]() whatsup32
27/5/2018 10:00 | I've been busy recently and just can't be bothered with these at the moment. I noticed you reduced your position recently. I might do the same but for now I'll hold on. I'll be mainly watching the golf and GP today. Stick Monaco on your bucket list..... it's an experience. Great commentary from you guys which is greatly received. | nortic 007

27/5/2018 09:54 | Todays Sunday Telegraph says that 37 out of 81 new smaller energy suppliers are on the brink of financial collapse. The spike in gas prices this winter has virtually wiped many of them out. So much for their cut price deals. They will be forced to drastically increase their prices just to survive. All of this must help us long suffering CNA shareholders. At last the regulator will be forced to recognise the realities of this business. This should lead to a sensible regulatory review. | ![]() careful
27/5/2018 09:47 | Morning Nortic, we wondered where you are ? Quite a flat week here, we just seem to have lost the momentum a bit here, at least it was not negative. Sometimes a share after xdiv takes a few weeks to wake up again, enjoy the break :) | ![]() jpjohn1

26/5/2018 21:03 | Small suppliers suffering. "Half of Britain’s energy suppliers face an existential risk after the “Beast from the East” tore through the balance sheets of the industry’s small players. Thousands of energy customers could be left in limbo due to a high risk that around 10 of the most fragile suppliers are on the brink of going under. Many hundreds of thousands more bill payers face the risk of sudden energy tariff hikes because almost 40 suppliers may be forced to squeeze their customers to survive. The startling strain endured by the industry in the wake of the volatile winter energy market is laid bare in leaked proprietary data................ | ![]() eeza

26/5/2018 13:31 | Hi Kulvinder, I owned Saga when they floated, didn't do much and sold. To be quite honest it is a job to know which one to buy. All the stamp free shares on a high ( never buy personally a share unless it's on a low at the time. Bt looks a bargain at that price but when I looked at the three year chart it scared me off. Vodafone does still look a good buy. I put some money into Lloyds ( rightly or wrongly). They are the cheapest share in the Ft 100 and you can buy a lot. They have good movement and I have made more money out of them than any other share. I'm not saying go out and buy some though | ![]() jpjohn1
26/5/2018 09:37 | JP I think we are made of the same stuff, trading is what gives us the thrill. Sold out of Saga yesterday at a loss as like CNA it seemed to be going nowhere and I used the money to buy more vod and BT....we will soon see if it was a wise decision or not. | ![]() kulvinder
25/5/2018 22:21 | What's happened to Nortic ? | ![]() jpjohn1
25/5/2018 22:19 | Hi Kulvinder , yes I sold 48k shares. I was down 20,160 - 11,760 div so it was a 8,400 loss. Hope to soon make it back up trading. Would not advise anybody to do this ( still think it's a two + share, just not sure when it will get back up there again ) I miss trading and to be honest I don't fancy sitting around for a couple of years until it gets there. | ![]() jpjohn1
25/5/2018 21:51 | Hi Jp, have you sold out here at a loss then if you only have 50k left in CNA? I thought your average was £1.87 for 183k of shares from memory? I still holding out till I get my £1.60 I think, plus some trading in between £1.40 to £1.60 hopefully. Loaded with Vod and Tw. at the moment. | ![]() kulvinder
25/5/2018 21:25 | The Ft went down an extra 50 points from our close, I have the Ft -19 to start Tuesday, this could alter a lot with all markets around the world open Monday & Asian markets opening Tuesday morning before us | ![]() jpjohn1
25/5/2018 21:06 | Jp. Of the list of duty free you posted. I really like Ferguson, Tui, IAG . All are high but Ferg and Tui seem to be firing on all cylinders. Hoping for a decent run next week barring Trump using his Twitter | ![]() whatsup32
25/5/2018 20:28 | Hi whatsup, me neither. What seems logic gets thrown out of the window. I still have 50k left here. This will get to two pound again not to sure when ? I did have a good long look at all stamp duty free shares, but they are all on highs.Vodafone looked good a few days back, but gone back to Lloyds, there is always plenty of movement there, I have said it many times before it was my favorite stamp paying share. Have a good long weekend :) | ![]() jpjohn1
25/5/2018 19:12 | Jp. Not sure if I should wish there be a bid for CNA next week given you just sold half . I don’t have a clue as to how the market now works. Stream of bad news KGF,TALK,MKS, and their prices initially went up. Very strange days. Just had dinner of for a walk, enjoy | ![]() whatsup32
25/5/2018 18:44 | I still have 50k shares left here | ![]() jpjohn1
25/5/2018 18:43 | By the way, I sold about half holding here, the trader got the better of me | ![]() jpjohn1

25/5/2018 17:51 | Capeview. No rhyme or reason to this market anymore. I’m in at 195 exact so just ahead by a nose . Which is probably more then can be said for Nortic 007’s horse . If you boys get a chance come up to Scotland, right now I’m overlooking a loch that’s surrounded by mountains a few still with snow caps . It’s sunny until 10pm . Heaven must be like this. Jp . Good luck with your new investment, hearing positive news about Lloyds, sounds like their problems are behind them . All the best | ![]() whatsup32 |
