''transformational'' eh. I wish we could monitor how many transformational deals actually become transformational in the market.

In 4 years that's the heaviest discounted placing I have had to endure. Not impressed. Neither am I ''pleased''

Use the weakness caused by the placing to top up! They said that they're trading in-line with expectations, which were 2.9p for this year and 4.8p for next year. Put it on 20x next year's earnings given we're almost in next year, and this is worth 96p. Even 20x this year is 58p so buying in the 40s is great value

hmmmmm so its being acquired for 15x earnings, no real problem with that. The placing discount seems to be horribly large though

WTF is with a 30% discount on the placing?

I see the backend registry figures have already crept up to 2.2 million.

xyz.com is also top of the registry domains leaderboard:

Interesting comments above about the CEO's shareholding - he does though have 1.3m options with an exercise price of 10p and 800k @ 55p

Saucepan, the point b was also quite strange to me when I looked at the company a few months ago, so not sure if GHF can shed any light on this.

Does anyone see a cautionary flag here in that (a) the major (apparently connected) shareholders own well over 50% of the Company; and (b) the CEO Ben Crawford has no notifiable skin in the game?

Genuine question, I am a holder.

Good RNS to see this morning, though I'm slightly cautioned by the fact that there wasn't an 'ahead of expectations' comment in there. They should know the revenue figures for 10 months by now....

Nevertheless, its cheap based on market forecasts so bought some more this mornig

Good news indeed, but I think the golden nugget just may be within the Premium Domain name portfolio.

CNIC owns and trades its own portfolio of around 20,000 Premium Domain names and presumably from the £2.0m TLD registrations they have held on to a couple of the best for their own use.

Two letter .com names sold for upwards of USD3.0m in 2014, so if they own a couple of xx.abc domains, there may well be some significant hidden value and one off profits to come from the Enterprise side of the business.

It should be an interesting ride.

8-)

Funny you should say that Saucepan, a bit leaky imv. I had suspicions when i saw the buying and ticks up

- not leaky in the slightest battlebus. I regularly check the Ntld stats (you may recall my lengthy write-up that posted links to it) and saw that .xyz added 100,000 registrations on 01/11/2015 ... I've been buying ever since & saw they were only 2,000 away from the 2million yesterday ;-)

Kind regards
GHF

We can't tell at the minute but I'm certainly more comfortable in knowing we have registered over 2 million.

Good question! Not sure its possible to correlate yet. Surely one of their much larger peers will table a speculative bid if they are winning the race?

Yes, some awesome statistics there; it all augurs extremely well. Good news, which will hopefully herald a new upleg in the share price, which possibly started yesterday. (What a coincidence, says I cynically).

Still here scottishfield, trying not to be swayed by short term swings but as PJ says the whole market appears nervous ATM.
