Does anyone hold their CAML with HSBC Investdirect and received their divi?

I'm still waiting for my divi which should have been paid on Wednesday. It's been paid as expected by three other brokers, just HSBC appears to have issues.

That's correct MJ. I can also add that once the cooper pierces the armour of it's target it then ricochets around killing everyone inside. Known as a 'shaped charge' (rather than an IED which is just high explosives), the shaped charged is much more feared because of its almost guaranteed fatality rate.

Some interesting points about copper in this video which I came across recently:

The Cu part starts at around 10.30 minutes/seconds in.

Interesting that one of the excerpts used claims Cu is the second most used material by the US Department of Defense!

MJ- Could well be the case if PAYE would have been applied - Thanks for your input.

Hi Pug, from personal experience of a small option to buy/sell in one the company I worked for, the proceeds were via payroll and PAYE applied.

Thoughts - Maybe possibly
* Anti dilution
* Might be tax beneficial but would want to see the tax advice
* Concern over possible fiscal treatment with probable change of government.

However company losing some 5% interest p/a with current available rates.

Other thoughts??

Yep very strange. No actual shares bought or sold. Just a fairly large payment made to the options holders. Why not give them shares instead of cash?

Seems like a waste of £3m, with over £6m still to come.

If they really believe in their ability to deliver shareholder value, add to their shareholdings instead. Back themselves.

Did they really exercise at $0.01 and "sell" at £2.27? Might as well just call it a bonus.

Copper’s Boom Story Has Some Truth — and Lots of Hogwash

The case for higher-for-longer prices is there, but bullish exuberance could use a dose of reality.

it's 0.2% Ni and 0.1% Cu...ridiculous.they will have difficulty actually reporting a resource here...how do you demonstrate reasonable prospects of eventual economic extraction with those grades in Scotland ?

Interesting about the silver. If correct, worth a question at the next Q&A opportunity!

Take note, generally not a cautious sign for the stock market overall. Good for miners.

Copper skyrocketing. Zinc motoring. Lead doing nicely as well.

Based on current spot prices, if CAML achieve their production targets, they'll have annual revenue of $282m (based on hitting the middle of their target ranges for each metal).

Most of the increased revenue vs 2023 should drop to the bottom line too.

Very happy days indeed 👍

Obviously these prices won't stay forever. And they weren't so strong in Jan-Apr. But still heading for a great 2024. 18p dividend looks safe for now. Could even tick up a fraction next year.

Over the past few days, the world’s copper traders and executives descended on Santiago for the annual Cesco Week gathering. The main debate: Is this the beginning of the big bull market everyone has been waiting for?

Prices touched a 22-month high of $9,739 a metric ton on Thursday, up 13% since the start of the year.

Nick Snowdon, the Goldman Sachs Group Inc. strategist who has carved out a place for himself as the market’s most bullish voice, argued copper’s latest developments are only “the foothills of what will be its Everest.” He forecasts prices will average an astonishing $15,000 per ton next year.

Not everyone agrees.....
