Some people here seem only to see the share price. I almost said some investors here... but of course those people are not investors. One of the key pieces of information from the annual report was average realised price for 2018 was $1267 and 2017 was $1261. We have not been down to these prices so far in 2019.

Some posters here, are saying that this is incredibly cheap, compared to the norm ,ie half price.

Yes,the price is, shall we say, half price.

So,if your were offered a first class cabin on the Titanic, you would buy it because it was half price. :-)

Plat Hunter,

You've already been shown that cash flow is positive despite 2018 being a bad production year.
On top of that, CEY has $300m in cash & cash equivalents (that''' be your working capital sorted then).

Any suggestion of a cash call is utter nonsense. Given the current guidance the dividend will be increased too. Or do you think the guidance and FY results were a pack of lies?

For cash flow to become negative, gold will have to drop below $1000oz.

and where is that "google" does it explain your term "working cashflow" Plat?

and that they will generate positive cashflow not negative as you are suggesting?

Hope this helps with your knowledge gap Wallywoo. Sorry for any confusion but not mine money tied up here and sinking so not that bothered if I don't quite fit your thesaurus.

All the best though eh, what do i know eh? It just keeps going down, I must just be lucky

"Cash Flow vs. Working Capital: What’s The Difference?
Cash Flow
Consider a typical month or week in your business. How much money are you able to generate and use for expenses in this set time frame? This is a cash flow summary, and it reflects how money moves in and out of your business. In some cases, you may want to generate a cash flow summary for a quarter or even a year. However, a cash flow summary does not take into account how your current assets impact the financial responsibility of your business.

Since the net profits for your business reflect your expenditures or liabilities against your income, the cash flow summary will never accurately reflect your net profits. Essentially, the cash flow summary is a means of measuring and tracking how much money can be gathered from your business in any given time frame."

What complete hogwash Plat, "working Cashflow" - what does that even mean?

Working capital is a valid term, Positive or negative cashflow is too. Yours is just hogwash.

A cash call, ie RI lol, with $300M in the bank (the highest of any mid tier gold miner).

What rubbish. Negative cashflow - they should generate $100M of positive cashflow in 2019!

What cash pile.. working cash flow halved last year and if it isn't improved with a higher basket prices or production then you'll be looking at losing 90% of working cashflow over two years.

This company is in real danger of pulling the dividend and issuing a cash call.

It doesn't matter how profitable your operations are or the resource size, when a business hits negative cash flow the lights usually go out.

Considering the cash pile and the general sense of panic here - looks like a buying opportunity. Seriously the reason 2019 is disappointing investors is that they are stripping waste to uncover stage 5. The blubbering and wailing is over done. Its not a vending machine its a mine with rock n all.

Q1 Monday.....unless you had that in mind you shouldn't have invested in the first place. A drop til then was always likely and a further drop if bad. Rise above 100p if good

Thanks wallywoo for refocusing this board on reality . Interesting link . We have heard about the ANS for some time and it is in the future plans of CEY to be at the forefront of the mining permits and exploration . With their existing relationship and stability of profit share with Egypt then you would think they are at a huge advantage to jump in ; thus possibly the continued policy of retaining a huge sum of investment cash . Given Burkino Faso / Cote D’Ivoire and Cleopatra coming on-line in the near future then who knows where this share price can go particularly if the management get their act together . Production for Q1 up , share price restored .

For those that don't believe the doom and gloom scenario, a good update on the mining reform in Egypt and one of the reasons I think CEY will come back stongly, IMO CEY will not only become massively more attractive as a acquisition target, it will also have many more opportunities to expand:

85 Hit, that's a complete breakdown

Facts are in the share price Traders shorts etc etc etc. If this was a decent company with decent fundamentals it would not be trading in a downward trend.

I wouldn't even call it downward either, draw a line under those 3 lows and it's a like lemmings jumping off a cliff.

Going down here quicker than Boris at the Blue Oyster Bar

Boris,

I have to agree with you,re:the price has nothing to do with all the annual report or up coming Q1 report.

When are people going to wake up and realise that is a traders share and traders with their friends, the shorters are simply pushing this up and down between them, taking their profits?

They push it up,take the profits, push it down and jump back in. It is as simple as that and they do this despite any contract announcements, and despite any apparently good or bad relevant news.

Petrofac is another wonderful trader and shorter share as there is also no stamp duty.
Watch the charts;note how much they push it up before it drops;anticipate the drop; buy or place order for meaningful amount which will make a useful profit within the daily price movement
Anticipate, spend only 10% of your cash on the trade and do not worry if it falls back as you can buy your way out of it.
