stevendaytrader- 'hardly a tanking'...this will likely end -15% for the day and looks to be headed back down toward 90p at this rate. Biden elected and perceived magic bullet, doesn't bode well for gold prices and CEY particularly, given production issues. This has a long way to fall before it picks up again, in my view. Might well short it.

gold will recover, the story has weakened but still intact.

i hold very few cey overnight for these very reasons, only day trade it

this is why slp are so much better than cey, their commods are mainly demand driven as well as have the same benefit of cey of benefitting from a weak dollar.

GeckoEach to their own views I guess. The likes of you and I will never get to know what fraud took place or didn't. At the end of the day, I am simply choosing the lesser of two evils according to my view. I was simply giving my view just as you were. Yes, Biden may not be too good for the UK but we have dug our own grave with Brexit and Boris (that's another story). Bottom line, I am simply here to make my living, idiots and politicians will come and go.

Reminiscent of day after Trump won 4 years ago, when gold shot up to 1370 then quickly reversed and took a couple of years to get back, Let’s hope this time it is different

Obviously great news re the vaccine but the drop in gold price/CEY is silly - a lot of financial support is still needed for the foreseeable and the only way to do this is to pump new money in. Once the news settles this will drift back upwards again.

Hardly a tanking lol- the tanking already occurred- not good but main pension will be surging- swings and roundabouts... back to CEY- not a time to sell. Hold for the long term or at least Dec and Q1 RNS.
