Thanks for the reply, fascinating! I guess that must be your full time job. Nice.I'm afraid I'm kind of a 'buy and hold' type of investor so I don't even know what level 2 is but I do find other people's trading strategies fascinating.Well done on what you've accomplished, you should do seminars!

Saget, depends on what your broker charges you per trade and my time horizon is not a day, I trade on T20 more often than not plus its not the only stock I trade, other frequent trades are hgm, gvc and 888. I also presume you have level 2 access to the prices. This is NOT and encouragement to buy, sell or hold any of the stocks mentioned. I have sufficient assets to secure my holdings, plus I have approx. of £800k+ credit from TD Waterhouse.

ShayAdvfn you're obviously smarter than me, could you explain how can you trade a share virtually everyday without making a loss on most days?

The share price has only gone down if you happened to have bought it at the peak of £1.79,in this case one would look for an opportunity, to buy at a lower price if you believe that this stock may go up. It is a volatile stock I have traded this virtually everyday since the start of 2013.

Azalea- the share price has doubled in a short space of time. A bit of profit taking, given the fall in gold and gold stocks over the past couple of weeks is to be expected. I am interested in the share price in 12-24 months, not this week or next month. I expect it to be much higher than today.

What fall in the share price?

It's gone from 60p to £1.54 this year and from £1 to £1.54 in 3 months.

I wish I could say the same for all my portfolio.

Just stating the facts. I am fully aware of the number of shares he still holds. the doubling of the div will not cover the fall in the share price

I agree with Jim, I started with this stock when it fell, my first purchase of 5k at 34p and I kept on adding and looking to add more over the coming weeks, needless this is one of the largest part of my portfolio. This is NOT an encouragement to buy, sell or hold this stock.

Azalea - your comments are a little disingenuous. Josef still holds over 50m shares, which is c5% of the company. His timing was a bit off when he sold as gold and the CEY spiked afterwards. I have spoken to company management several times in the past and remain convinced that there is plenty more growth to come. I would focus more on the doubling of the interim dividend. CEY have said they are committed to returning cash to shareholders and I'm sure Josef won't mind a nice chunky dividend!

Many of the quality miners have fallen 20-30% (after very strong rises) and this is healthy as part of a long term bull market. Have a look at First Majestic. I would use the pullbacks as a buying opportunity if I wasn't fully invested.

Hi guys

Haven't posted for a while, I hope everyone is ok.

The manipulation of gold is causing a few problems. - It's amazing that the great heads that control our financial institutions, for all their PHD's in economics, mathematics and finance, use language rather than arithmetic as the main tool at their disposal. - The language of lies and deceit.

Never mind, we've been here before and the patient amongst us, people like Saw, will tell you that our journey here still has far to go. - Be patient, trust in your judgement and hang on in there. - cheers.

Thats the point, who knows, what, if anything? £53m would buy him a very decent yacht, even by todays standards. Had he waited, he could have put a few millions more in his pocket after tax. As they say, timing is everything. In his case, a nice problem to have.

azalea

So he took £5.55m off the table from a company that he has been part of since 1995.

However, he still has a mere 53.849m shares still to go. That is 4.67% of the company.

Perhaps he wanted to share things out a bit amongst his family, get a new yacht, new house, who knows! As far as I am concerned he is very welcome as his company has certainly benefited myself considerably.

Which makes me wonder why the chairman sold so many, how could he be so out of touch with the prospects; if indeed he was? Given the recent excellent update, the fall, is somewhat surprising.

As an interested onlooker watching the recent fall, I note that between the 29/3 and 10/6, directors El-Raghy and Pardey sold a combined total of 18,561.913 shares.
