Cenkos has acted as joint bookrunner (alongside Canaccord Genuity) on a £18.5m placing for Duke Royalty (DUKE).

AGM Statement (11/5) -

"The Company had a good start to the year having completed three IPOs, four placings and two M&A transactions within the first 10 weeks of the year. Since the announcement of our 2021 results issued in mid-March 2022, the macro-environment has remained challenging with the continuing war in Ukraine combined with mounting inflation and interest rate concerns in turn impacting investor risk appetite and capital markets activity generally. Despite this we remain confident in our business model and our track record of successful fundraising at every stage of the market cycle and continue to maintain our strong balance sheet and financial resources well in excess of regulatory requirements. We are currently working on a number of transactions for our clients and have an encouraging pipeline for the rest of the year."

New mandate. Cenkos have been appointed as Nomad & joint broker to Caledonia Mining Corporation (CRP), replacing WH Ireland. Liberum remain joint broker.

I would imagine they will get a flurry of new mandates post takeover of Arden Partners. Maybe too many for them to handle and hence potentially at an improved remuneration rate?

E,g, ASTO, AUK, AXL, ARDL, DEMG, FPO, KCT, LIV, OBI, OPP, ORPH, PHC, SUH and #TRAK (list from @LeoInvestorUK)

As a long term holder here can remember the days when this share traded north of 200 pence. With a new quality team at the helm hoping for good times ahead. Added to my position yesterday.

An excellent piece of research has been released today by Edison Group on Cenkos and the recent year-end results.

Some highlights in the Note show:

-Tremendous growth in EPS to 6p compared with EPS of 3.3p, 0.1p, 4.4p in prior years 20/19/18

-P/E now on 13.4x compared to 24.5x in previous year

-Dividend increased overall by 21%

- Cash at £33.5 million.

-Valuation. Cenkos now trades on a price-to-book value of c. 1.4x compared to 10 year average of 2.1x

- Regulatory capital SURPLUS of £15.8million

- Significant increase in revenue per capita to £410k ( £350k)

-Client increase by 8% to 101 clients

This share remains -in my view- very cheap on fundamentals, yield, earnings growth, sector comparisons and has buoyant prospects and outlook under new management with an evolving corporate strategy including a welcome "shift to quality".

Yes, well done Cenkos - good results. I no longer hold these, but keep a watching brief. They have made a cracking start to 2022 which is well timed given things are no doubt much tougher now. It sounds like the cost base may be increasing slightly and so they need the deal flow to continue. Overall though the new CEO has done well so far.

Strong results:-


-The Profit after Tax has gone up by a massive 75% from from £2.3m to £4m

-Cash balances even stronger at c £34.5m

-Increased final divi by 20% from 2.5p to 3p.

-Overall annual dividend increased by 21% from 3.5p to 4.25p.


Share now yielding a very attractive 7.1% ( 4.25p on share price of 60p) against a buoyant outlook, a noteable increase in new hires/dealmakers together with the welcome impementation of a strategic "shift to quality".

Looking good.


Great maiden results for the new CEO. Well done to Cenkos.

Looks good to me.
