ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC for a club with an average attendance of 57,000. Knocked out in the qualifiers in the last 3 seasons by the following teams. 2018 AEK Athens (greece). Average home attendance 12,487 2019 Cluj (romania). Average home attendance. 5,149 2020 Ferencvaros (hungary). Average home attendance. 10,715 Shameful and disgraceful. BOO!!

celtic 0-1 ferencvaros, HT, no recognised striker on the field... no rogic on the bench and we lost forster and gordon in the summer [huffed and puffed against dundee utd at the weekend] i finish typing all that and its 1-1 [christie!] 1-2 and out... time to concentrate on 10-in-a-row

'Celtic's charity foundation is to spend £150,000 on helping vulnerable locals during the coronavirus pandemic. As part of the Football For Good Fund, 250 people will be fed every weekday at Celtic Park. The monies are also be used to assist community charities and foodbanks. The fund's aim is to help "vulnerable families, pensioners, individuals who have been affected financially by the crisis, the homeless and frontline NHS staff". Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell said: "Our club was born to bring comfort to the most vulnerable on our doorstep and we strive to maintain that charitable principle today through the work of Celtic FC Foundation. "The current climate we face is both alien and daunting and we must do everything in our power to provide assistance and comfort to those who need it most." '

gerrard sounded like he was wavering as manager after being defeated in scots cup [weekend]...then he steadied himself [mon/tues], but i wonder what he's thinking now after defeat to hamilton. 13 point gap. question marks are now arising over him staying for a third season. that would obviously be a huge decision for rangers to start again with another manager and try to stop 10-in-a-row. the block can be done... remember wim jansen!!! here's a reflection from murdo on that critical 97/98 season and incredibly it started with 2 defeats! htTps://www.sundaypost.com/fp/murdo-macleod-this-is-a-monumental-season-in-the-history-of-our-game-so-rangers-and-celtic-bosses-must-stay-calm/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997%E2%80%9398_Celtic_F.C._season

wee Frimpong would have been a much better option than Simunovic who always looks like an accident waiting to happen. The media describe Copenhagen as "Danish giants". Well they may be the biggest club in Denmark but Copenhagen's average attendance last year was 16,419 and their highest was 29,310 which means they probably get 12,000 for a run of the mill league game. In contrast Celtic have 50,000 season ticket holders so can't use the same tired old excuse that the odds are stacked against us in Europe. Easily beaten by a much smaller club.

Copenhagen are quite physical and wee Frimpong struggled a bit in first leg I think. The silver lining is Celtic can concentrate on the Treble now.

I don't blame Simunovic. I blame Neil Lennon for picking him. Why was Frimpong dropped? Last 32 of the Europa League is our level unfortunately. Just cannot win a knockout tie anymore unless its a qualifier.

lots of twists and turns to come in the league, but as of tonight [with the help of hearts], celtic have taken back the initiative. its in their own hands now - keep the goal difference up for starters, which i hope lennon is emphasising to the whole team!

Celtic match to honour 1970 Fraserburgh lifeboat disaster https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-51206189 video - Celtic's big names in 1970 came to Fraserburgh to honour the men who died 'Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell said: "Clearly we have a very close connection to the tragic events of 1970, with Jock Stein and the club ensuring in 1970 that the local disaster fund was supported. "We know for many in the local area that these events will still cause hurt and pain even after 50 years. "However, after discussions with Fraserburgh FC we felt that once again we should mark this anniversary year, come together and pay our respects to those who were lost and their families". '

'forster's been superb since his return' - fraser won it today -- 'Man of the match - Fraser Forster Forster shouldn't just get one winner's medal, he should get all of Celtic's winners' medals. Save upon save, defiance upon defiance. He broke Morelos' heart out there.'

Look out for Frimpong. Celtic got him cheap from Man City. He wasn't registered in time to play European games (he's only 18). But Man of Match against Livingstone. People comparing him to the great Jimmy Johnston, thats silly as hasn't even been tested against a good team, but he's exciting to watch.

Lazio 1 Celtic 2 First ever win in Italy. Top of the group with 10 points after 4 games. Already qualified! Last 2 games only about who finishes top. When has that ever happened? This is a good team. A decent outside bet to reach the final. Julien IN, Boyata OUT. Big improvement in the defence!
