05/12/2008 22:20 | That is indeed correct Just from looking at the accounts, the company would seem to be a disaster However, at the AGM we were reassured that by September they would be profitable and on another occassion, Andrew Wilson told me that the UK business makes EBITDA of £1m+ pa. Since then they have won the exclusive Freeview channel, which should be making very good money. I have no idea whether what I was told by Andrew Wilson still holds true, so I wait with both baited breath and an empty wallet | the analyst
05/12/2008 20:49 | Analyst Is it correct to say that without the 1.2M disposal of the SKY channels. the profit made in H1, would infact be a loss of nearly 1m? If correct, how is it possible that the company is close to making a profit in H2? Let alone pay a dividend? Surely H2 will show a loss again of around 500k at least? | 21st century media company
03/12/2008 10:47 | Just for the avoidance of doubt, that post should say 'blogs', rather than 'bogs', lol | the analyst
02/12/2008 14:33 | Cheers MN I notice the company is also starting to produce quite a few more adult websites, including bogs etc for all of their 'stars'. So, development continues... | the analyst
02/12/2008 14:22 | Hi, Thanks the analyst. It's showing a mix of the longer old programming like retroTV and old movies, teleshopping and Psychic Interactive. Kind regards, MN | zoo123
02/12/2008 12:10 | No idea, zoo123. My guess is that it can only be good news, though. Anybody spoken to Andrew Wilson, recently? By the way, what sort of programs are being shown on the channel? | the analyst
01/12/2008 22:31 | Hi, Does anyone have an idea why the Sumo.tv channel has moved back to 212 -might they be planning to sell to again? Kind regards, MN | zoo123
01/12/2008 21:57 | TopgunNS, Apparently the word is that the ofcom decision will be further delayed until Jan 2009. | ldmachin
01/12/2008 11:38 | Anyone got any idea when this ofcom decision is due? | topgunns
26/11/2008 22:01 | Interesting stuff, LDM What's being shown on the channel? (I don't have Sky) | the analyst
26/11/2008 21:25 | Well, i guess this is good news... Sumo.tv now has a better slot on SKY TV... it's now on channel 212... As we know it was original on channel 144 until Cellcast sold it to the discovery channel for £1.4m... So, after that deal it moved to channel 875 and now it's just moved to channel 212, which used to be the Paranormal channel... ...don't know why? But 212 is a good channel slot. Have cellcast found some money to be able to pay for this slot? or have they sold sumo.tv to someone who can afford this slot? | ldmachin
26/11/2008 13:26 | Bit of relevant news: IARN-handbook: | the analyst
26/11/2008 13:26 | Well, one year since the directors and Neil Craven completed the placing at 4p, so if there is a MBO at some stage, they are no longer obliged to pay that price. The last director buy was at 2p in July. Hopefully, that doesn't happen and instead ofcom make a favorable ruling and we can get on with making profit and paying a dividend. If Andrew Wilson's claim that they should be in profit and looking at £1m EBITDA (when he persuaded me to buy) is really true, the I think we could look forward to a 0.5p per year dividend (ofcom permitting). But are they making that sort of profit? Given that they have the Freeview monopoly now, there would be very little excuse for not being highly profitable now So, we need three things to move on from here: 1) ofcom ruling in favour of participation TV 2) profitability, getting the margins back up to the 20%+ we should be seeing 3) much higher levels of transparency from the directors in relation to informing investors how the company is being run. It is the private investor that will get the share price moving back up and without trust, that will never happen | the analyst
06/11/2008 13:44 | ucretin. Sure was. That's a shame if it's gone. The last time I was in swansea was in the 90's and it was there then. Couldn't agree more about it being the best. The women to. The Patti Pavillion used to be the place to go on a friday night. Had live bands, many local one's,who were very good. Had to sit on the floor to watch them but had drunk so much by the time they come on would have fell of a seat if I were on one. Regards NewKid | newkid
06/11/2008 12:49 | well i think i will be staying until the ofcom decision comes through. its either bust or 2-5p for me. feeling a tad more optomistic though surprisingly :) | bones698
06/11/2008 12:07 | NewKid - are you referring to Joe's Ice Cream Parlour? Was there several months agao but don't remember seeing it, surrounded now by curry houses. Used to be the best ice cream in Wales. Swansea females, half a lager, bag of crisps and a ciggie - they are a delight as long as they don't speak. No offence meant to any 'Jacks' | ucretin
06/11/2008 11:52 | Lord Santafe. Worked in Oystermouth telephone exchange in the early 70's. Loved Swansea and the young women. The DVLC had over 3000 working there then. Had many agood day at Port Eynon. I take it Joe's is still there? Regards NewKid | newkid
06/11/2008 11:23 | Steve, I wish you the best of luck with these. I am holding at 2.2p average and won't be averaging down. Like others I will be heading for the exit. Ones to benefit will be those buying at this price and those who bought sub 0.6p | ucretin
06/11/2008 11:19 | Yes I am from mumbles. Be interesting though to see how our CLTV tip performs. If it does then in the future I will always make sure I make similar investments | lord santafe
06/11/2008 11:14 | Eh? I know your from Wales but stop 'mumbling' and speak english. Jibberish is not a recognised language. Do you want to translate? | ucretin
06/11/2008 11:05 | 2.4m in assetts, no debts and high cash burn only when they do not make a profit. Based on an easy 10p after Ofcom and more news next year the potential was 10K return for £500 at 0.5p. Now it is 5K return for £500. Or another way to look at it, is just risk twice as much as you would before, to benefit the same return. | lord santafe
05/11/2008 12:10 | Agreed bones If this were ever to get up to 1.5p-2p The exit doors will get ripped off their hinges | sans souci
05/11/2008 12:06 | cant get to excited yet. maybe when we are in the 1.5-2p range then i might. until then the vast majority are just recovering losses and even after 2 days of big gains i doubt anyone can sell in profit. will be a while before any profit is possible but at least the signs are the dog is not dead | bones698
05/11/2008 11:53 | Selftrade bidding 0.75p for 500k??? Have we a large delayed trade? | sans souci
05/11/2008 11:29 | It will cost me more and more for me being late with my top up. Hopefully there will be profit taking and after a long silence of nothing. For the time being it is like CLTV have been mistaken as one of those mining stocks that rose up to 500%. Maybe speculators are happier not to research. | lord santafe |
