30/9/2009 11:42 | Not a very good bargaining position for a farm out deal, if they are strapped for cash Is it possible they will have a fund raising placing to boost there position whilst in farm-out talks ? | jimarilo
29/9/2009 22:03 | Things are happening though: "The Company's management is seeking to capitalise on this renewed interest in the region and is currently conducting active negotiations with the view of concluding either a farm-in transaction or a partnership" I would be concerned about the unsecured loan, but the last big chunk of debt was converted at 10p, when the shareprice was only 3p - so I can't see them shafting the company. Also, how has the debt increased so much if the directors have not taken any renumeration or expenses. Its probably on legal fees as they try to agree a new financinig deal. | andypace
29/9/2009 16:48 | after hours rns.never pleased to see companies sneaking results out outside normal hours...they've had since june and its not like they have achieved anything . 29 September 2009 CDS OIL & GAS GROUP PLC INTERIM RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2009 AND OPERATIONS UPDATE CDS Oil & Gas Group PLC ("CDS" or the "Company"), the AIM quoted (CDS.L) oil and gas exploration and development company with operations in Paraguay, today announces its unaudited interim results for the six months to 30 June 2009 and an update on its operations. +--+---------------- | * | Operating loss of US$540,000 (H1 2008: loss of US$1,308,000), in line with | | | Board's expectations | +--+---------------- | * | Comprehensive exploratory survey programme completed | +--+---------------- | * | Discussions in progress to secure funding for the next phase of operations | +--+---------------- | * | Principal shareholders and directors provide funds to support operations | +--+---------------- ..no progress on funding or farm in but we seem to being getting in hock to our largest shareholder and not paying the directors pay or expenses which presume will accrue....not too sure there will be much value for shareholders unless they can get something done soon. | kooba
25/9/2009 23:19 | Interesting dissertation on the paraquay basin. See link below. Very long at 217 pages, but gives some good info on the wells drilled previously, especially the fact that they were all shallow. The deepest was 4287m in 1987, but a lot of them were less than 2,000m. Anyway worth a read if you have some spare time. | andypace
09/9/2009 12:39 | Does'nt take much to move CDS not many shares in circulation, I hold a few and would like to buy more when some funds are available when my other oilies come good ,I have hold Circle oil and Amer [since Chaco days]for several years best time to get in these small co's for long term gains. | mlm
08/9/2009 18:12 | Nice rise today Farmout deal maybe ? | jimarilo
06/9/2009 11:55 | cds looks interesting because of where it operates but the need for cash and the fact i can't find out anything on its largest shareholders who replaced the saudi co means i am much heavier into amer for the time being thay are well funded should have strong cashflow soon from producing assets as well as negotiating farm outs on a number of fronts. | kooba
06/9/2009 09:21 | Cheers Kooba Am looking for a home for some cash, might split the risk ;-) I guess everyone waiting for a farmout deal here and drilling programme, could turn out nice here as well | jimarilo
06/9/2009 09:10 | @jimarilo,re amer there seems to be some resistance at 5p..i think its just that its a pi stock and people think that progress too far off.personally think it still represents an outstanding oil play, with a good model.looking for more news before month end, importantly that colombia production at alea can recommence to full production and secondly that the fenix spudding is on schedule.a happy holder and think paraguay could be the big one! | kooba
06/9/2009 08:56 | Kooba, Seems like someone off loading in AMER any ideas ? | jimarilo
28/8/2009 12:08 | bought in small today.i follow amerisur and think they could announce progress on paraguay operations soon which should cast a good light on cds prospects. | kooba
25/8/2009 23:34 | there's more interest being shown in the small oil plays at the moment. CDS has got left behind so should be due a rise as investors take profits on VOG, GKP,etc and look to re-allocate funds. Hopefully when funding is sorted we'll get a step change to a decent level. I'm hoping that it will reach 10p quickly on the basis of the rcent debt to equity conversion at 10p when the share price was sub 3p. | andypace
25/8/2009 15:28 | Very Quiet on this thread, I hope there is some underlying reason thats causing some movement. | mlm
05/8/2009 18:19 | andy, it was up 12% earlier this morning, dropped back now still encouraged though. | mlm
05/8/2009 14:30 | Unfortunetly its up .12p which is 3%. Still, loads of potential for this one at such a low market cap. The directors are obviously confident that they will raise funds as they have deferred their salaries! With oil prices strong at the moment there should be plenty of interest. | andypace
05/8/2009 09:29 | Why the rise today ? 12% must be some news. | mlm
03/8/2009 09:52 | Just got back from holiday this weekend. Excellent news on the extension of the minimum work obligation. I saw this as the major risk to this company as without it the company is not worth much. I had shares in a company once where the licences were handed over to a much larger company who were in a better position to exploit the licence. Anyway, now they have the written extension, CDS should be able to raise funds quickly and maybe we will have a well drilled in 2009! | andypace
28/7/2009 11:13 | CDS backed out of a deal with BLR in 07, which was the right thing to do at the time as BLR were pot less However BLR now WBN are financially well off, could there be a new link there ? | jimarilo
28/7/2009 10:05 | Just in case this gets overlooked TIDMCDS RNS Number : 3578W CDS Oil & Gas Group PLC 28 July 2009 ? CDS Oil and Gas Group plc ("CDS" or the "Company") Extension to minimum work obligation LONDON, 28 July 2009: CDS the AIM quoted oil and gas explorer (CDS.L) with operations in Paraguay is pleased to announce that it has received an extension from the Paraguayan Ministry of Public Works and Communications ("MOPC") - which is also responsible for energy and mining - to the Company's minimum work obligations on its exploration licence over the Boqueron block. The Company's minimum work commitments for the Boqueron block initially required it to drill a minimum of three exploration wells prior to 21 November 2009. Whilst the minimum work obligation remains unchanged the MOPC has suspended the Company's commitments for 12 months, extending the expiry of the minimum work period to 21 November 2010. The extension affords CDS greater flexibility in identifying and negotiating terms with potential farm-in partners. Patrice Roman, CEO of CDS, commented: "The extension will assist the ongoing discussions with new strategic partners in order to finance the next phase of our exploration program, which will consist mainly of drilling. It also demonstrates the high value of the relationship maintained by CDS with the Paraguayan authorities resulting from the fact that over the recent years CDS has been a principal player as regards oil and gas exploration in Paraguay." At this time, the Company has received a significant level of interest from prospective investors with a view to covering the cost of the next stage of the exploration programme and whilst no funding arrangements have yet been formally agreed, the directors of the Company remain confident that further funds will be arranged in the near future. Note to Editors: CDS Oil and Gas Group plc is a UK company which, through its Paraguayan subsidiary, CDS Energy SA, has a 98.2% working interest in three large blocks with substantial oil and gas exploration potential in the prospective eastward extension into north-west Paraguay of the productive Bolivian Chaco Basin. | mlm
