These boys have no need to approach conventional City institutions for new funds.
The locating of Gas and or Oil from the drilling Gambino Mendoza will have the running to put their money in. King Abdullah Bin saud's son has 8%+ of the company from a private arrangement. I am sure he, or other deep pocketed types, will ante-up if and when funding becomes necessary.
Awaiting details of Amerisur JV, in the next block, with Ecopetrol. That will move things along a bit.

Find oil or Gas and the money is there. No problem.

1m buy @ 20p late afternoon. 15-17p spread at the time. Someone is confident and wants them urgently.
Several 150k and 100k buys lately. Maybe to acquire the 1m for someone?

Results from the Carson survey were released 23rd May. News of seismic data from Boqueron is due also data acquisition from Gabino Mendoza is underway and an update should follow.

Appears as though ex-Archbishop Lugo has ousted the Colorado party after 60 yrs. CDS are late with their presentation to the Govt on progress in Gambino Mendoza. I wonder why?

The next president of Paraguay may be of more import.
Confident they are doing all the right things and will show results before very long.
Next election in Paraguay is April 20th and I'm sure we'll see something before then.

Hang on a while BW I believe there are slight delays. Think national elections in early April and think what the impact of a major find will have on the population who are promised a better life and more jobs. I am more than confident here.
It is the oil biz. Schedules get a bit flexible. Not long now imo.

CDS PROVIDES EXPLORATION PROGRAMME UPDATE ON ITS CHACO BASIN PROPERTIES
IN PARAGUAY



LONDON, England: 22 January 2008 - CDS Oil & Gas Group plc ("CDS" or the
"Company"), the AIM-quoted oil and gas explorer (CDS.L), is pleased to provide
an update on the comprehensive exploration programme being undertaken on its
Chaco Basin properties in Paraguay.

Harmattan FZE of Fujairah, UAE has commenced a 2-D seismic programme in the
immediate area around the Emilia well and will continue to complete the 700km
survey on the Boqueron Block, with the 281km programme on the Gabino Mendoza
Block to follow. This programme will substantially add to the 2-D seismic
database which was compiled by earlier exploration companies in the 1970s and
1980s and which was re-processed by CDS in 2007. The Minister of Public Works
and Communications and the Vice Minister of Mines and Energy of the Government
of Paraguay as well as the Governor of the Boqueron Province visited the Emilia
work site for the "official" start of the seismic programme. They were
accompanied by CDS Energy management.

Carson Helicopters of Perkasie, Pennsylvania has completed a 9,200 km aeromag
and aerogravity programme over the Boqueron, Gabino Mendoza and PG&E Blocks.
Final results from analysis of data are expected in mid February 2008.

ETI of Houston, Texas, has commenced a reconnaissance geochemical programme on
the Gabino Mendoza and Boqueron Blocks and will complete the programme over the
three blocks after the rainy season.

Line opening for the geochem and seismic programmes has been completed on the
Gabino Mendoza Block and is 60% completed on the Boqueron Block. This work has
been undertaken by Paraguayan contractors.

Once these work programmes are completed the results of the three surveys will
be correlated and used to select drill targets. It is expected that drilling
will commence in the second half of 2008, depending upon rig availability.

CDS is a UK company which, through its Paraguayan subsidiary, CDS Energy S.A.,
has a 98.1% working interest in three large blocks with substantial oil and gas
exploration potential in the prospective eastward extension into north-west
Paraguay of the productive Bolivian Chaco Basin.

Britain's CDS Oil & Gas Group plc began a new round of drilling for oil and natural gas in Paraguay's remote Chaco region, where the firm has so far failed to find exploitable deposits of petroleum.

The drilling comes after the company carried out a $13 million "integrated exploration program" in the Gabino Mendoza area, sources in the Paraguayan Ministry of Public Works said.

CDS announced in February 2006 that it had found petroleum in the Gabino zone, though in volumes too small to make extraction commercially viable.

Public Works Minister Rogelio Benitez was on hand Tuesday for the opening of the new Emilia well. One of his aides, Primo Cano Martinez said positive results at Emilia could lead to renewed exploration efforts in other parts of Chaco, a region that has frustrated petroleum prospectors for decades.

The deputy minister of mines and energy, Hector Ruiz Diaz, said Paraguay is anxious to provide incentives for private investment in the sector because the government lacks the technical and financial resources to search for oil and gas on its own.

He said Paraguayan officials are "convinced of the existence of hydrocarbons" in the poor, landlocked South American country.

Currently forced to import all of its oil, Paraguay hopes to find petroleum in the Chaco, which abuts parts of neighboring Argentina and Bolivia that are rich in fossil fuels.

CDS Oil & Gas starts aeromagnetic,aerogravity program on Chaco basin properties




LONDON (Thomson Financial) - CDS Oil & Gas Group PLC said it has started an
aeromagnetic and aerogravity program on its Chaco basin properties in Paraguay,
adding that the results of the survey will be correlated with the results of a
seismic and a geochemical program and both of which will be used to select drill
targets.
The AIM-quoted oil and gas explorer said it expects to commence drilling in
the second half of 2008, depending upon rig availability.
Chief executive Patrice Roman said, "The new information will help select
drill targets for Carboniferous oil and Devonian oil and gas in order to unlock
the potential of the hydrocarbon resources of Paraguay."

An aircraft has arrived in Paraguay to carry out a 9,200km aeromag and aerogravity program as part of UK company CDS Oil & Gas Group`s exploration program, Paraguay`s public works and communications ministry said in a statement.

CDS through its Paraguayan subsidiary CDS Energy has a 98.1% working interest in three blocks in Paraguay`s Chaco region, where the company has resumed exploration. The blocks are Boquerón, Gabino Mendoza and PG&E.

CDS hired UAE firm Harmattan FZE to conduct a 2D seismic data acquisition program of 700km on Boquerón and 281km on the Gabino Mendoza block. Houston-based ETI was selected to carry out a 2,300-sample reconnaissance geochemical program over the three blocks.

The results of the three surveys will be correlated and used to select drill targets.

CDS expects to begin drilling in the second half of 2008, depending upon rig availability.

CDS Oil & Gas Westmount Energy sells entire shareholding in CDS Oil and Gas at 22p/shr


LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Westmount Energy said it sold its entire
shareholding of 3.76 mln shares in CDS Oil & Gas Group PLC at 22 pence per
share.
The company said the investment arose from a 500,000 stg convertible loan
the company provided to CDS.

I am afraid that I am one of those week people and stepped out at 30+, happy to take an almost 3 bagger. I did not like the legal challenge re the fees, a distraction for management and cost for the company.

If it goes significantly lower before any announcement, I'll come back and join in the fun.

It has been my best performer this year which is a bit sad as I bought it as a real punt on a penny share. The one's that I picked after extensive research have failed to perform!?
