16/11/2015 16:15 | wipo1: Red I guess I should have bought the dip on results day. Oh well always another day another share. Good luck if you're holding.

Price is relative and you could well get in lower. In this market nobody can predict the bottom with any degree of certainty.

Thanks for the detail.
Wow Cgs has more than four small private shareholders!

28/10/2015 08:45 | thorpematt: Article here:-

I don't agree with the conclusion on price / value (£5.75 is my view) but the rest of the article is fair IMO.

10/6/2015 15:40 | thorpematt: Indeed.
Nice bit of volume to go with price rise. Not a well covered stock analyst wise, but certainly a stalwart historically with a good record of doing the right things.
VERY strong balance sheet and surplus on pension, many companies could learn from that.
I reckon a recovery in market would gear up well here and I think the forward PERs are better than they look given the cash position and lack of debt.
Nice and quiet here of late too – so a lack of interest of late giving the price weakness I think.

05/3/2015 20:46 | thorpematt: Indeed they obviously have a better broker than me.
Tricky to get stock at the right price I am finding.

29/1/2015 09:00 | apad: So does my Mum, she is likely to increase CGS, but wants some blood on the european streets first.
There was an insider purchase at 399p in Jan, but it was a token amount I believe.

05/1/2015 11:19 | woodcutter: I've been watching CGS for a while with a view to investing. Interestingly enough i nearly bought several years ago but hesitated and missed the major rise. Anyway the recent drop attracted me again but it's difficult to know if it's at the bottom. Generally it's second half weighted on earnings but the outlook statement at the interims wasn't very positive so it may still have further to drop.
On the upside the drop in the oil price might encourage investment in the truck industry so CGS may benefit from transport sector upgrades.
Watching the chart with a keen eye for now.
