If the news is good I could dump it on the day if 2014 was anything to go by BUT if it's that good, why would I dump, that's the big question. S

smarty, let's hope it goes like that. even so you may find offloading your 'little tranche' small as it may be relative to nosh, may take a little while! or maybe someone will gobble casp and save you the trouble?

K,

If this goes as i think it will, you'll have zero concern as to stale bulls selling etc. The volume will be HUGE if it's the right news and my little tranche, should i decide to sell will be absorbed in seconds. If it's the right news IE

- mjf success
- 2 x deeps

we will be flying and the hype will come if the news is eeked out as opposed to one operational update. If a Placing is part of their funding plans then it will be in all our interests to manage the news flow to get best outcome.

...lol, 11.71p too tempting, sheeesh. Can still get 11.31p guys so sell a few more. The 2017/18 allowance is £20k per person and i can get 175k in as of tomorrow. Keep the price down guys and i'll nick another 25k tomorrow to fill the allowance. Mrs and kids don't want any more )-:

there will be loads of selling if the share price starts rising, weak holders and stale bulls exiting.

it will be frustrating for lth's but positive ops news will see it fly then the inevitable pullback until next news etc.

all seen many times of course throughout the markets.

is my stomach up to it??

i'll be selling at 133p in case anyone wants mine now, and save me the ulcers lol!

Don't want it to run too far today as i've got 150k sitting outside the ISA after 2016 family allowance exhausted -:) but it's about to go as it's well bid and you can sell a chunk @ 11.71p.

Take it easy guys, you can take advantage of 2017 ISA allowances tomorrow.

You're right there. All for taking a profit but this is the first time that i can really see the upside. Carver could disappoint again but that would be terminal after the Beauty Parade. Not saying that we could be disappointed but i doubt it very much. It would be a shame to see the new hot money making a turn whilst the long term holders or should i say doubters, miss the opportunity.

Jonny,

AST don't have anything to sell at this juncture. They can talk the story re future gas reserves etc but we know the story there.

If Casper can build the P2 they'll have the leverage to fund against it so there will be other options available to them if successful. They could also bring another partner in ? some sort of JV ? i'm sure all options are being discussed.

They'll never be able to fund a proper FDP without significant investment. Much that infrastructure is there locally with Tengiz nearby, it took them over a decade to get that into proper production. Appreciate it's deeper, with all the problems associated with depth plus the Sulphur issue. Don't know the cost implications and timing of getting the deeps intp production but i believe that's going to be Chevron or another Multi-national's problem.

£1+ was a pipe dream here, now it's very doable IF they deliver the results.

All,

Mr Carver has regularly stated that the old Roxi would raise funds with minimal dilution to existing shareholders. Have a look back through the annual financials under funding, i'm sure the detail is there.

I don't mind equity if it comes with a Rights and would need to be done at a MUCH higher price. The institutions will want a deal and that will mean Warrants etc and i believe that this is all part of the plan. A mixture of both will probably be the final outcome but institutions won't want to be invested into a Kazakh owned company where they have no real say or input.

They tried to raise cash with the BOCO deal but they are in a far stronger position now. Lots of options open to them IF the success comes and the story is compelling enough.

Probably be another round of Director 'gift' options that will give an indication of where the price is going but i'm happy for them to keep their 65p ones and set some realistic payouts for driving real growth.

stuart, you raise a good point. debt does trump equity. however, the ability of bondholders to screw the company usually arises where the company finds itself in financial difficulties and then has to go cap-in-hand to bondholders for revised terms (delayed interest payments etc.) and that is where the bondholders can demand unreasonable terms. if casp can service the debt, then debt should be the cheaper option.

timber, yes there is that, hopefully the share price will be (much) higher before the dilution.

Konil - i agree , would rather not see equity funding, but would imagine the large Kazakh investors would want the share price substantially higher than it currently is before any dilution.

Personally would rather see more shares issued than debt. Problem with debt raising is that the bond holders always stand in front of the equity holders of the company, so much so that they generally end up screwing the equity holders out of their positions. Look at the oil companies who've raised funds via debt on AIM over the years- and find 1 that has done so successfully. I am sure there is 1, but it will be in the minority.

i don't like this bit from a recent proactiveinvestors piece...

"
It is keeping its options open on future funding, including issuing shares.
“So we are probably looking at equity at the moment,” Carver said.
“It would help with the free float and dilute down some major shareholders who won’t mind having a smaller stake in a larger company.”
"

he's certainly not mentioned the potential dilution in any of the interviews!

the major shareholders may not mind, but i certainly will! debt with no dilution is the way to go clive. c'mon, earn your keep!

Latest offering from CC, a bit more clarity given, he sounds pretty confident A5 and A6 will flow this quarter.

We also now know why abchurch were hired last year.

In one of the recent interviews CC mentioned that most of the $16 dollars per barrel that they receive from the shallows is profit , would of been useful if he could of been a bit more exact.

Slowly, slowly catch a monkey. We're not going to get traction from PR alone . We must know re the Yelemes structure so news must be imminent, good or bad. The longer it goes on, I'd say that it would be bad news and they'd look to include with a positive deep announcement.Another success at Y would continue the recent successes and wit it comes confidence and credibility.C'mon Clive, let's ave it.Smarty

Incidentally I note that:-
Financial Calendar gives APRIL/MAY as target data for ANNUAL REPORT for 31/12/16 as opposed to the historical end of JUN17

I reckon Casp are about to give a series of RNs initially the shallows then one of the deeps to help promote the "new" Caspian Carver wouldn't be so stupid to talk about 3,000 barrels on one of the deeps if he wasn't sure, defo the kiss of death for his job if he doesn't deliver. I accept he hasn't been the best with his statements in past but to state on that podcast and not deliver he would have to go.
